  1. Some of the rambling, self satisfied posts that frequently pop up in the lounge. I just don't get it.
  2. I always liked Kaboul when he was at Spurs. I thought he looked promising. Not sure if he's fulfilled that promise at Portsmouth as they are bottom of league?
  3. Every little thing she does is magic - The Police
  4. Don't rate Mowbray. He's a Wenger wannabee and doesn't seem to recognize that you cannot play that type of football without the right players. His insistence on WBA playing 'football' last season saw them relegated. He had no plan B.

  8. I see Wenger has been acting the football snob again. Criticising Villa for playing long ball football and upsetting O'Neill in the process. Are we all supposed to play football the Arsenal way? Does Wenger honestly think that a style of football which is natural to most of our players is in no way valid ? I never hear Ferguson make those complaints. Deal with it Vinegar face with good grace.
  9. Maybe Hatton should try his luck with Mayweather again? I'm sure Mayweather would be up for it, and though Hatton risks being outclassed again he certainly would restore his reputation if he gave him a good fight. Boxing history is littered with redemption stories such as this.
  10. This was a real good clam bake - Carousel
  11. I hope the Man Utd fans who were critical of Rooney yesterday will acknowledge what a great player he really is. Fergie said he thought Rooney played better yesterday then when he scored 4 on saturday. The turn and driven crossfield pass he played that led to the first goal was as good as anything you'll see all season. And he showed the true hallmark of a great player after his miss from Evra's pass, which came at him very fast to be fair. He didn't hide or shirk his reponsibilities and stepped up to the plate to score the winner. That's Class.

  14. Fair play to Pacqiuao for taking him on in that case. He could have ducked him, as you suggest Mayweather would have.
  15. Thanks for that background Acid. Sounds like a good test for Pacman.
  16. And he's Scottish.
  17. I'd prefer to call him focused.

  20. I think Hutton's a good player. He's quicker then Corluka and is better going forward. I think Harry likes Corluke though because of his attitude, though he does seem a bit overweight and slow to me. Hutton is in there with Bentley and Pavyluchenko. Harry just doesn't fancy them for one reason or another.
  21. Bale is Welsh.
  22. Also wasn't it him who didn't play to the whistle against Arsenal which resulted in us conceding a soft goal. In fact, he had fouled an Arsenal player but the ref played advantage and bizaarely Ekotto stood there waving his arms appealing against this rather then getting up and trying to win possession back.
  23. I'm sorry I don't agree Titch. I think he doesn't like to put his foot in if he can avoid it. The best defensive performance I have seen from him was immediately after he had the run in with the Tottenham fan. Because he had a point to prove he put the effort in. He's just really interested in getting forward. I was hoping Harry would offload him.
  24. I agree to an extent about Bale, though I thought his marking for the first goal conceded against Leeds was shocking. I coach all young players to mark goal side, especially at set pieces. He was marking Beckford wrong side and Beckford scored because of this. Such a basic error that could have been avoided and surely he's had it drummed into him throughout his career from youth team football onwards about how to mark? He is very positive and gets forward well, but I think at the moment his crossing is a bit hit and miss and needs improving. His defending last night was good though and I'd rather see him in the starting line up then the lamentable Ekotto, who never seems as if he's trying very hard even though technically he's good on the ball.
