I agree about that. Bassong and Dawson have played well this season. Strangely Bassong had forgotten to put on his shorts just prior to coming on against Liverpool and had to be reminded as he was about to enter field of play in his pants. Maybe he's not the brightest spark.

David you're perceptions about Spurs defence being leaky are well founded, as it certainly has been for years. But it's true, we've had 6 clean sheets in last 7 and I'm sure it actually was some sort of record for us.

I agree with you about Essien as well quids. Huge loss to Chelsea this season and a personal tragedy (if that words not a bit too extreme) for the player too if it means him missing the world cup.
