  1. Can anyone recommend a face painter for a 4 year olds party this Sunday?
  2. Thanks, I came this afternoon and really enjoyed it!
  3. http://www.boppinbunnies.co.uk/summer-sessions-2014.html Sessions running in Honor Oak :)
  4. Cannot recommend Alessandra highly enough. Have used her on a number of occasions to take photographs of my daughter-each time with amazing results!! She also photographed my friends' wedding and the pictures were incredible. She has such a lovely way with children and they really respond well to her. Please PM me if you want more details.
  5. I just bought it on my kindle. Fascinating-I work in the primary school that is mentioned and my mother's side of the family lived in Walworth around that time too.
  6. My daughter is also starting next Thursday (afternoon sessions) I ordered her uniform online from www.thomasschoolwear.co.uk I used the list in the handbook posted above. Hope that helps :) Anna
  7. I have just booked tickets for the weekend, looks great! Thanks for the recommendation :)
  8. I just passed my test today (first time!!!) with Sarah (+44 7956 563129) I'm so pleased! I started learning with a different instructor about 10 years ago but gave up after a few lessons as I didn't seem to be making progress and I hated driving! Learning to drive with Sarah has been a really good experience as she is a great teacher. I highly recommend her :)
  9. It was open last week too. We went twice. Most entertaining moment was when a fox got into the animal walk, ran near to Phoenix the bunny's cage (cue everyone screaming FOX!!) and was chased away by the alpacas. Alpacas chase foxes. Who knew?!
  10. Hired a place in Whitstable last year with my then 1 year old. Was lovely-we didn't have a car either but did a few trips on bus to Canterbury, Herne Bay and this great place http://www.wildwoodtrust.org/ happy holidays...
  11. You could try Cowling and Willcox in Camberwell/graphics centre Covent Garden...
  12. What a horrible thing to happen. Sorry to hear that.
  13. Another recommendation for hummy mummies. I'm back at work now so can't attend anymore but this was definitely my favourite maternity leave activity!!
  14. My daughter has quite a lot of fine straight hair (she's 19 months) and alligator clips seem to stay in a lot better than the snap ones. I prefer small material covered ones and very small soft hair bands. Good luck, looking forward to seeing/buying the hair clips you make!!
  15. Happy 1st birthday ED tots! Have found your website so useful thanks :) x
  16. Oliver's Vegetables is great! I think there are some more books in the series too. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Olivers-Vegetables-Vivian-French/dp/0340634790 Good luck :)
  17. http://www.keepingthebeat.co.uk/ these CDs have been a firm favourite with my reception and nursery classes for the past few years, my 16 month old really enjoys them too. We love the Boppin Bunnies albums too (I got both of mine on iTunes)
  18. The two areas really suitable for the under 5's in the Science Museum are the Garden (in the basement) and the Pattern Pod (I think it's on the ground floor) both are amazing!!
  19. Yes, yesterday we saw 2 goats, 3 sheep and some chickens. The walkway through the animal enclosures is not open yet but you can still see the animals from the park.
  20. Sorry to hear about Gatwick StephG. What an awful thing to happen :(
  21. Thursday after next is good for me too. Horniman cafe, Peckham Rye cafe or Dulwich park cafe are my suggestions! Anyone got any better ones?!x
  22. I'm not sure if a meet up ever happened (or at least if it did I must have missed out!) I'm happy to meet on weekends or Tnursdays. I have a 14 month old daughter.
