  1. Saw this on the back end of my run this morning - opposite Williamson Court on the Rye Pub side of the park. Massive old tree it looked like. Anyone else noticed this? Will definitely be ringing up/writing to Southwark asking them why on earth they've felled it, unless it's been deemed dead...
  2. You got to be a pretty shit or unconfident runner, whether you are a male or female if you are worried about potentially being mugged when your out at any time of day. How can someone mug you when you are running?! Surely any futile attempt would be instantaneously diminished by, dare I say it, you RUNNING AWAY?. If your any good the average mugger will not catch you. Bizarre!
  3. Why are there so few runners in the South London area? I've been running regulary for around 5 years now, twice a week for around an hour a time. I often run at various different hours in the week including what one would think of as being 'peak-hours' e.g. those when the bulk of people have finished work, across various different routes encompassing large parts of Dulwich, East Dulwich, Denmark Hill, Peckham, New Cross, Greenwich etc. Amazes me how few people I see out and about, yet the amount of slobs I see on my runs usually vastly outnumbers those trying to keep fit. Where are all the runners?!

  5. Tattoos are grim and should be discouraged. See some awful trollops walking about with them day in day out. No class.
  6. Was told today that one of my colleagues who works for William Hill had her bag stolen today upon entering the Post Office on Lordship Lane when she was going to bank some monies. From what I gather it did happen inside the premises, the guy tapped her on the shoulder and told her not to do anything silly and give over what she had- which was approx ?400. Apparently he had a covered up face. Anyone witness this or see anything strange happening? Happened around lunchtime. Any info please contact local police. Cheers.
  7. Does anti-social behaviour include playing shit music out of mobile phones without the aid of headphones?
  8. Anyone had the pleasure of being served by the brunette with the fantastic rack in Londis recently? Was last in on Saturday. BUFF TING.(tu)
  9. 484 to Lewisham Station, 108 direct to North Greenwich station. ?3.60 return all in all on Oyster. Simple.
  10. No advice taken, as we have been awaiting to see if we could up our kitty- we felt ?20 would not suffice a 'mental spend'. Low and behold, after a massive 4 point margin victory at the Forest Hill Tavern quiz this evening, we have now upped our kitty to a mammoth ?28. ?28! And thus, I turn to those who have previously posted on this thread and those who may be browsing and interested in posting with a new question, naturally entitled... WHAT IS THE MOST MENTAL WAY TO SPEND ?28, THAT'S TWENTY-EIGHT ENGLISH POUNDS STERLING, DOWN LORDSHIP LANE? Answers on a postcard to.... GJTANGO, MEMBER OF THE GROOVY GANG TOP STUFF QUIZ TEAM
  11. You used to get lagging off ?1.90 pints of Calsberg in the Goose & Granite for weekends on end to the sounds of R Kelly & 50 Cent.
