Totally wrong - and misrepresents the thread. The green space IS most definitely part of the school's demise under its lease and it is used quite intensively at play times (to the extent that it is presently more of a brown space than a green space!)

  4. The Judith Kerr Primary School on Half Moon Lane is to increase in size from next term (September 2014). Posts are available for Teaching Assistants and Midday Meals Assistants for candidates with the right experience and skills, but above all with the enthusiasm and energy to thrive in a dynamic and innovative school. Further details available at: http://www.jkps-cfbt.org/school/current-vacancies/.
  5. We did it. Result: joy, unexpected involvement and helpfulness of older siblings (then 6 & 7), mess, untidy house, more shouting in the morning getting ready for school, lots more washes and a lot less ironing, more hilarious and scary moments, a squashed working day, less time for TV, more joy, more shouting, more chaos, more lateness at school, more late pickups from school, more picnics, more eating grass and picking flowers, very little time for PTA or other volunteer stuff. Was it the right thing to do - yes from our point of view. Would I now want a 4th? Post-40, NO, definitely not.

  7. The Judith Kerr Primary School, which opened in the former King?s College laboratory building on Half Moon Lane in September 2013 is shortly to undergo a redevelopment to ensure that the school has larger and better spaces for teaching, learning and play. Following the last consultation event on 19 March 2014 the architects, AOC, have now produced developed designs taking into account comments from the school and the local community. The development will entail full conversion of the existing building, as well as external landscaping and pedestrian and vehicle access. All are warmly invited to the second consultation event to review and discuss the proposals which have been developed since the last consultation event. It will take place on Friday 25 April 2014, 3.00pm - 7.30pm on the Ground Floor at the Judith Kerr Primary School, 62-68 Half Moon Lane, Herne Hill, SE24 9JE. If you cannot make it to the event, details will be posted on the school website (www.jkps-cfbt.org) after the consultation. Any comments can be sent by email to Daisy Froud at AOC ([email protected]) by 9.00am on Monday 28 April 2014.
  8. The Judith Kerr Primary School opened in the former King?s College laboratory building on Half Moon Lane in September 2013. It will over the course of the next c. 18 months be undergoing a redevelopment to ensure that the school has larger and better spaces for teaching, learning and play ? both inside and outside. AOC, a firm of architects, have now been appointed to develop designs, in conversation with the school and its community, for redeveloping the school site. They will draw up proposals for full conversion of the existing building, as well as for external landscaping and pedestrian and vehicle access. This month there will be the first of two planned consultation events, where you can meet the architects and the development team, as well as members of the school team, and discuss the concept proposals with them. It will take place on Wednesday 19 March 2014, between 3.00pm - 7.30pm on the Ground Floor at the Judith Kerr Primary School, 62-68 Half Moon Lane, Herne Hill, SE24 9JE.
