  1. I highly recommend Sebastian - he's been walking our two whippets for a while and they are always happy and tired in the evening. He's also very interested in dog training / behaviour so provides lots of useful tips and observations.

    His number is 07894 229 903

  2. I've also seen some "wood" tiles recently which looked quite interesting - might be worth a look for a kitchen area? (easy to clean, no chance of food falling into the cracks!) I think I saw some in the tile shop up near The Plough on Lordship lane
  3. Yes, I've used them for both my downstairs living rooms floors and recently for a bedroom. Both times they did an excellent job - very tidy, great finish. The bedroom had quite a few floor boards which needed replacing - you'd never be able to tell which ones have been added. Everyone who has seen the finished floors has been amazed by how good they now look.
  4. I highly recommend Keatings (just opposite ED station). They were very professional and spot on in how they marketed our house - we had two offers within the first couple of weeks. We had originally tried to sell our house using one of the bigger estate agent chains and they were terrible - so unprofessional and it just felt like they could not be bothered to make much of an effort to sell our house...
  5. Norfolk is lovely - lots of nice walks, vast beautiful beaches (Holkham beach allows dogs all year round), and plenty of dog friendly pubs. We stayed in a lovely place called Strattons in Swaffam (not the most picturesque town, but the hotel was lovely) - hotel is very dog friendly and even supplied our dogs with fresh pork crackling as a treat! Norfolk is only a few hours drive from London.
  6. We went last Saturday and it was great fun - highly recommended, especially if the weather is good. Quite a few people brought chairs, cushions, big blankets and we even spotted a few duvets as well! Clearly some people are professional outdoor cinema goers... Most people brought picnics and there were quite a few champagne corks popping about which was amusing. The film started about 30 minutes late as they were waiting for sunset, and there was also a 15 minute intermission so it didn't finish up until 11:30 or so. We had to exit via the main gate which was a bit of a pain as there aren't really any buses back to East Dulwich from that side. It also gets cool quite quickly once it's dark so definitely bring something warm to put on.
  7. Hello fellow East Dulwich dog owners -

Over the past two days my dog keeps coming out in some sort of "hives" on his face - he's all lumpy looking, a bit like Mickey Rourke. Most disturbing. He's completely fine otherwise, and it subsides after a few hours. Having seen the vet and done a thorough inspection of the house, I'm having to conclude it's something outside. I'm curious to know whether any other dog owners in the area have noticed anything similar with their pooches recently and if they have any idea of what it might be?
