Foreign language advice for year 6 child

This makes me so cross. It is statutory that they are taught a language. Concentrating on SATS IS NOT A HOLISTIC OR THE RIGHT WAY TO EDUCATE. Grrr. -
Secondary School Applications - documents needed
lolasid replied to Elfy's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I had lost mine too. I phoned lambeth and said it was for the secondary application, she said it could take up to 7 days but I got it in 2 days. So phone now and you should have it by Wednesday. You will also need a driving licence or child benefit, if you get that. You need your child?s passport or full birth certificate- I used a prescription and passport, driving licence and council tax as I don?t get child benefit. Good luck -
Daughter didn?t get any of her secondary school choices
lolasid replied to carlybloom82's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Fantastic. So pleased for you -
Try the training school at Toni and guy- ?5 or Vidal Sassoon. Takes about 3 hours but you get an excellent cut. I?ve used them for ever!

Meant I hope it?s a typo from the school
-
Fingers crossed it?s a typo. I?d be over the moon if the one for my daughter was a typo!

Renata- you are an excellent councillor. Thank you for your help and advice to everyone. We got second choice, so I shouldn?t really be moaning.

We are 315 on the kingsdale waiting list and live 0.3 miles from it- gutted doesn?t cover it!
-
The waiting is almost over, thank goodness. Get the apps myUSO and ParentComms as apparently the results come through these quicker than emails. Definitely do not decline a school but go on waiting lists for the school you want. Hope everyone gets their first choice. Can?t say I?m too hopeful for mine, but fingers crossed.
