  1. Hi, looking for some help tomorrow to get our garden under control. We are on Denman road - and priority is mowing the lawn (we have a lawn mower) and then cutting back some weeds / bushes a bit. Not looking for perfection - just better than it looks now 😆 thanks Becky
  2. Hi All, Just wanted to share a discount site for new parents e.g. 5% at bugaboo, 10% of at JoJo, 15% off at Seraphine. I'm not affiliated with it but joined the other day and it's actually really good so thought I'd share as babies are expensive! https://getsprout.co.uk/ https://www.instagram.com/sproutperks/ Becky
  3. Hi Everyone, Looking for a bit of advice. My daughter is due to start nursery soon at 10 months, and the current policy at her nursery due to COVID-19 is no parents inside. This means they aren't doing the normal settling in process and I'll just have to hand her over at the door with an increasing number of hours over three days. She's obviously not had a lot of interaction with other people since lockdown and is already a little nervous around other adults - so it could be a stressful experience for her. Has anyone else had a baby start at nursery since lockdown? Would love to know how other nurseries are approaching this and if anyone had any tips or advice to try and reduce the tears! Thanks, Becky
  4. Hi All, We are also expecting our first baby in mid-September so it would be great to start to build a bit of a community of local Mums and Dads (can't believe we will be one of those soon!). Becky
  5. Just wanted to add my recommendation for Steve. He's also rendered our front garden wall - did a great job and completed the work within the time he promised (and cleaned up afterwards!) Becky
  6. Hello, We are looking for an experienced fitter to install our engineered oak herringbone floor in the hallway and sitting room of our house in nunhead. It's approx 35m2 and the boards are oversized and pre-finished. Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks, Becky
  7. Hi All, Just wanted to recommend Vinny at Hennessy and Soames. He's just finished a landscaping job for us on our new house including a full redesign of the back garden (it was a mess). We are really delighted with the results and he was such a pleasure to have around. http://www.hennessyandsoames.co.uk/ Contact details are on his website or his mobile number is 07776 485 063 Becky
  8. Hi, I'd just like to add to the recommendations for John McCaffery who did an excellent job re-decorating (including repairing damaged plaster & repainting) two bedrooms in our flat. He worked long hours to ensure that the job was completed on time and we are really delighted with the quality of his work. He's also super friendly, and I felt really comfortable leaving him in our flat all day whilst we were out at work. [email protected] We will definitely be using him again in the future. Becky
  9. Hi All, My amazing cleaner Amanda is looking for more work and I can highly recommend her if anyone is looking. Her attention to detail is amazing - she makes my bed like a hotel and leaves everything spotless. She charges ?12.00 an hour for a min 2.5 hours and is worth every penny! Let me know if you are interested and I can pass on her contact details. Best wishes Becky
  10. Hi, I'm looking for someone to repair and straighten the door frame on the front door of my flat. Hopefully a relatively simple job so would be great if anyone is interested in the work? We live just off Peckham Rye Park so send me a private message if you are interested? Thanks, Becky
  11. We are looking to replace the property management company of our block and I'd love any recommendations of reliable, responsive and trustworthy management firms? It's a block of 16 flats and we would need the help of the new management firm to obtain right to manage. Any advice or suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thank you
  12. Hi, We are currently in the process of refurbing our bathroom and I need to get the bathroom white goods, rubble and wood etc. to the skip. Does anyone know of a cheap waste collection service they would recommend? I can't use Southwark council as they won't collect bathroom goods like toilets, showers etc. Thanks, Becky
  13. Hi Sem, Please can you send me a price list too Thanks, Becky
