Hi folks, this is my first posting which I thought I'd might make others aware. My mum recently had a new roof on her house which I must say was done really well by the roofers, they completed everything. Our issue is with the man who they worked for who has disappeared of the face of the earth with some of our money. She has no paperwork and the contact numbers he left useless. I'm trying to track him down at some of the locations that he said he is responsible for, but no joy. He conveniently took the business flyer that he left with her away (apparently he wanted to leave it with one of her neighbours)so who knows where he originated from! He we had been abit smarter we would have cottoned on sooner but alot of it happened quick and he is a pretty smoove talker too. So if anyone knows of any elderly neighbours in Peckham/Nunhead/Dulwich/Forest Hill who is currently having any roofing, guttering or building work done, keep an eye out for a site manager called Charlie. He comes across as very caring and having their best interests at heart. I was conned into giving him money as a deposit because he said company policy can't deal with pensioners directly (yep he caught me at during a pretty rough heavy week!). He even bought his little daughter to my mums one day. He may also get you to speak to someone called Alan Tattfield who is supposed to be one of the directors of the company. Sorry this post is alittle vague and long, but thought it might pre-warn anyone who may come across him in the area in the future.
