I would recommend the use of Atom software for 11 plus preparation. Its excellent and includes videos (both live and recorded) and mock tests. Not cheap but excellent quality

Anyone know anywhere good to go and view bricks so we can ensure they match our existing bricks? Thanks

My friend has had 3 kids go there (2 now left for secondary schools but 1 still there) and they are very happy with it. It seems like a lovely school with a caring ethos and a lovely culture. We almost sent our son there but given his age went for somewhere with a secondary school.

121 swimming lessons- anyone know any instructors available?
ang replied to AnnieT's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We've used the following company and they are brilliant [www.swimminglessonslondon.co.uk] (give them a call and explain what you are looking for rather than looking at the website for too long- its a bit naff) Paul is extremely good with reluctant swimmers and very patient but all the teachers are good They teach using pools up near London bridge . We use the group classes (max of 4 pupils) per group but I know they also do 1 to 1 -

Haberdasher?s primary school feedback please

My kids also go to HTG on Camplin Street and I would second Nikki's comments. I also feel that there has been an improvement in pastoral care since the new head started some months ago (previously she was the deputy head). The school just feels a bit more relaxed and it benefits from that Overall it feels like a very positive place with a strong focus on education. -
Hello just wondered if anyone can help me out with the cost of painting the exterior of a 4 bed Victorian terrace. It's wooden sash windows and cills and front door that need painting rather than the walls. I Appreciate each place varies in condition but just trying to get a feel for a reasonable amount. Thanks so much

Today I went along to a new gymnastics class held in the Camberwell leisure centre for preschoolers. The teachers were great and the equipment excellent. It's a fiver a go and it's pay as you go. It's either 1 til 1.45 or 2 til 2.45 pm Can't recommend it enough http://southwarkgymnastics.co.uk/classes/pre-school/

Hi I've recently joined our school PTA which is raising funds to improve the school playground. I'm about to start researching grants that may be available for such a purpose. Does anyone have any recent experience of doing the same thing or any hints and tips of grants we can apply for? All advice gratefully received Thanks Angela

Any expectant mums in Nunhead/Peckham Rye area?
ang replied to supergolden88's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hello I was supposed to come on Sunday night but unfortunately I didn't make it (when I said yes I'd forgotten it was my daughter's third birthday celebrations that day!). Hope you had a good dinner I've actually just moved to New Cross Gate so Nunhead is pretty close to us Similar to you I would be happy to host a tea group once the baby arrives. I hosted a tea group with my first and it was a fantastic way to meet similar mums. My baby is due at the start of October Let's see if anyone else responds and then we can set up another gathering x Angela
