  1. We've used the following company and they are brilliant [www.swimminglessonslondon.co.uk]

(give them a call and explain what you are looking for rather than looking at the website for too long- its a bit naff)

Paul is extremely good with reluctant swimmers and very patient but all the teachers are good

They teach using pools up near London bridge .

We use the group classes (max of 4 pupils) per group but I know they also do 1 to 1

We use the group classes (max of 4 pupils) per group but I've seen then doing 1 to 1 with adults/teenager who are learning for the first time.

  3. My kids also go to HTG on Camplin Street and I would second Nikki's comments. I also feel that there has been an improvement in pastoral care since the new head started some months ago (previously she was the deputy head). The school just feels a bit more relaxed and it benefits from that

Overall it feels like a very positive place with a strong focus on education.

  4. Hello

There is now one space available on the funky monkey keyboard superstars class in herne hill from 3-7 august. The class is for 5-8 year olds and runs from 10- 12.30 everyday.

We had purchased a place for our daughter but unfortunately she's not going to be able to go so we are looking to resell her place. The cost is ?110

Pm me if you are interested

    Thanks

  5. Hi

I've recently joined our school PTA which is raising funds to improve the school playground. I'm about to start researching grants that may be available for such a purpose. Does anyone have any recent experience of doing the same thing or any hints and tips of grants we can apply for?

    All advice gratefully received

    Thanks

    Angela

  6. Hello

I was supposed to come on Sunday night but unfortunately I didn't make it (when I said yes I'd forgotten it was my daughter's third birthday celebrations that day!). Hope you had a good dinner

I've actually just moved to New Cross Gate so Nunhead is pretty close to us

Similar to you I would be happy to host a tea group once the baby arrives. I hosted a tea group with my first and it was a fantastic way to meet similar mums. My baby is due at the start of October

Let's see if anyone else responds and then we can set up another gathering x
