  2. Did you know that as well as the traditional Pilates classes, there's also Dynamic Pilates? Using all the principles of Pilates throughout, the class is a high intensity but low impact, cardio & strength class, (using optional, light hands weights too). Combining functional standing exercises (squats, lunges, balance work), with a Pilates core conditioning practise resulting in an energetic, dynamic cardiovascular & core workout, finishing with a well deserved relaxation section. All equipment is provided with a maximum of 15 places per class to allow for more individual instruction. NEW CLASSES STARTING ON THURSDAY 12 SEPTEMBER - 9.15-10.15am DULWICH VILLAGE HIP Pilates is a fun, high intensity/low impact Pilates workout, combining core strength, balance, coordination & cardiovascular elements, in a flowing, 60 minute workout with music, ending with a stretch and relaxation section. The classes incorporate the use of light hand weights with lots of varied functional movements such as squats & lunges, as well as movements for upper body strength and flexibility. The classes are suitable for all levels, with modifications offered. The low impact/high intensity format is a great stand alone workout, but also beneficial as a cross-training class. Created by The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), the workshops provides a Pilates based cross-training programme to enhance your performance, improve good running technique & help to prevent common running injuries. The workshop is suitable for runners of all levels, whether your are an experienced runner, if you are considering taking up running or would just like to learn skills to make running more enjoyable. If you would like to include some more movement to your life in 2019, Pilates is a great way to build strength, flexibility and core strength, as a stand alone exercise routine or to boost your other forms of exercise. It is also very beneficial during pregnancy or if you have recently had a baby.
