  1. Definitely in! Can't wait to hear the latest. Where n when?
  2. Really helpful information, Grotty! I think we have a good shot, though as was mentioned on a different thread, the next 3-4 years after a bulge year are more restrictive as places are offered to siblings from the bulge year. :-(. The question will really be timing, and wanting to avoid too much disruption for the LO.
  3. BT monitors seem like the best value money-for-features but they break all the time. Five monitors over the lifespan of the 2 kids - eventually the screen fades out, they beep constantly, the rechargeable battery life is gone (understood about replacing the rechargeable batteries, but still, 9 months later?). The Tommee Tippee one was slightly better but won't let me change the temperature setting anymore. I'd still go for something other than BT though.
  4. That's great info - thanks! Would be great if Southwark could post the archives regularly, make this easy on everyone ;-)
  5. Bulge years have thrown off the data on a number of schools, like Bessemer Grange and Dog Kennel Hill. Anyone know where to find 2012 catchment area data?
  6. Thanks for the info! Yes, 2013 was a bulge year, and that's on the website, but can't find 2012 to gut check whether we have a chance in a normal year. Have a feeling they're quite tight in radius.
  7. We live in Camberwell and are having trouble choosing a primary. DGK, which we liked, says its catchment area was 286m in 2011, and our house is outside that teeny radius. Anyone know what 2010 or 2012 was? Thanks very much!
  8. thanks, both of you - very reassuring! Best of luck, pebbles
  9. Can anyone offer advice or experience as to what goes on in the assessment? We hear they have to be able to read - and our LO will just be 4 at the assessment.
