This is a shout-out for Rob Forrester and "T-Positive" interior Design & Building Services who did work of the highest standard in repairing a concealed toilet system and reinstating the bathroom to its original condition. Bathroom originally renovated By Heals ~ 25 years ago. Over the last year, the lever toilet flush became increasingly unreliable & then stopped working. No obvious way of repairing it without taking some of the bathroom apart. Various plumbers/builders looked at it but offered no satisfactory solutions. Rob Forrester & Everton were able to dismantle the relevant parts, replace the concealed cistern with a push button system, the basin tap & waste and reinstate the bathroom to a superb finish. I have to applaud their skill, diligence, problem solving and care in doing the work over the course of a very long day. Also incredibly responsive & communicative throughout. Mark has recently continued his excellent work for me by replacing a failing shower pump. We discussed other options such as Megaflo and he laid out the pros and cons of all the options very clearly. I really felt I was making an informed decision when choosing a simple pump replacement. Not a big piece of work, but Mark carried out his usual thoroughly professional job. Mark Newlove of New Gas Boilers (07971 824567)has done some superb work for me in the last few months including installing a new ch boiler, thermostatic valves for radiators and most recently a new shower pump. He's neat and efficient and a great problem solver - a model professional and a lovely guy as well.

I can also recommend John highly. He and his colleague have just done an excellent job of replastering a large bedroom ceiling that was collapsing. He was very punctual for both quotation and execution visits and we are vey happy with the high quality result. We were also impressed with the care he took to keep the rest of the decoration as clean as possible and leaving the room neat and tidy. As others have noted - a really nice guy.

Obviously each quote is very job dependent. Over the phone, Mark talks in terms of ~ ?2200 for a straightforward boiler/flue installation rising to ~ ?2500 if NEST included. Mine was a few hundred more than that because it was not a straightforward job and included replacing a number of other components such as motorised valves, system pump etc.

I can endorse all of the good things written in this forum about Mark Newlove. I contacted him based on the comments here and he has delivered a first class result for me using a Vaillant ecotec plus 430 system boiler plus NEST thermostat with 7 year guarantee. Our radiators have never been hotter! (This boiler was not his first choice BTW but was the best one that fitted the space available). He is an excellent practical problem solver and clearly takes pride in doing the best possible job for his customers. He sorted out a mare's nest of pipework from previous installations and left everything looking extremely well ordered with key components accessible if required in the future. Rarely do you meet someone so totally in command of their subject. As others have observed, Mark was very responsive, fast and efficient, and very neat and tidy. We arrived home from holiday to find the fridge and freezer not working and a tripped fuse. Over the next 24 hours, what started as an intermittent problem recurred ever more frequently until only the lighting circuit would remain working. Problem originated in the kitchen which was fully renovated only 5 years ago. Used Google and found several recommendations for Shaun Owens on EDF. Shaun was able to visit first thing the next day (arriving right on time) and immediately won our confidence and trust with his professional and systematic approach as well as polite and positive attitude. He succeeded in diagnosing and fixing a potentially tricky fault well within 2 hours. Very impressive, very organised and very reasonable rates. I would not hesitate to use Shaun again.
