  1. Just wanted to add a recommendation for Jennifer. I had an anti-ageing facial with her on Monday evening, and it was wonderful! I must admit I had some reservations about going into someone's home, but the house is beautiful and provided a relaxing environment for a great pampering session. Jennifer was professional and approachable, and the products used felt expensive and luxurious (despite their surprisingly low price tag). There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything, but I was given a catalogue to take away with me, and will definitely be grabbing myself a couple of items! My skin feels great! Big thanks, Jennifer!
  2. My housemate and I both recommend Frank - local, friendly, reliable and good value. Lots of recommendations for him on this site, and rightly so! 07956650744
  3. First sale already made - a worn-once Zara dress sold for just ?8!!!
  4. Morning all! Just a reminder that (weather permitting) this will be going ahead on Saturday 21st between 10.45am and 1pm. Lots of dresses, jeans and shoes, plus a few tops and household items. Come along and grab a bargain! Thanks, Bb
  5. Just selling a few items of clothing outside my house. Like a yard sale... only without the yard. I'm actually here for a wee bit today, if you'd like to have a peek.
  6. Front of house clothing sale at 182 Crystal Palace Road (opposite The Great Exhibition pub) - Saturday 21st November from 10.45am until 1pm. Lots of beautiful women's items (size 10 - 14), many new or worn once. Some shoes (size 7 - 8) and home items also up for grabs. All items from a pet-free, smoke-free home. Come along and grab a bargain!
  7. Hi there, I'm looking for a good amateur/student photographer to take some good quality snaps at a friend's birthday bash at a bar in Brixton on Saturday (31st Oct). Ideally, you'll be able to do between one and two hours from around 8.30pm, but we can be flexible on timings. Happy to pay up to ?50. Please get in touch if you have services to offer. Examples of your work would be great, but we're not looking for anything too swish, so basic photography skills using a good camera will do. Thanks in advance. Bb
  8. Sorry for the delay. The Edt have finally confirmed that thay can accommodate us. The booking's made for 8pm. See you there xx
  9. Hurrah! Will set about booking a table. I'm thinking EDT or Tippler???

  11. Oh noooo! Literally the only Saturday in June that's already booked (sob) :( xx
  12. Hi there, I'm a female post-graduate psychologist conducting research which I hope will go some way to improving clinical services for female breast cancer patients. I'm looking to have in-depth conversations with women who have undergone reconstructive breast surgery following mastectomy as a treatment for breast cancer. The research will focus broadly on your treatment options, your level of satisfaction and your perception of your body following surgery. Participants must have: - had a mastectomy and reconstructive breast surgery (immediate or delayed) following a breast cancer diagnosis - undergone reconstructive surgery before 1st June 2013 - been 45 years or younger at the point of reconstructive surgery. Interviews will be strictly confidential and can take place either in my office at a central London hospital, or at a location convenient for you. Any identifiable data will be seen only by the interviewer (myself) and will be anonymised for the purposes of this study. Transcripts will be destroyed following the completion of research, and participants may request copies of the study if they wish. If you would like to take part or discuss in further detail, please send a private message or call 07817738897. In exchange for your time, I will donate ?5 per participant to the London-based charity, Breast Cancer Care (www.breastcancercare.org.uk/). I can also promise infinite cups of tea/coffee, and biscuits galore! With best wishes and thanks in advance, Amy

  14. Hi Chet! Welcome to ED! Not sure when the next one is, but do keep an eye on this thread for details - would be a pleasure to meet you both! Great to see/meet peeps last Saturday - those extra glasses of wine meant I did NOT make my spin class in the morning!!! X
  15. Hi! Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all tomorrow night! Tim Tippler has reserved the raised area about half way down the bar, so for anyone new, please come and find us there. I'm a bit broken today, so will be sure to have a quiet one tonight in preparation for tomorrow! See you from 8pm! Amy xx
  16. Brilliant! The more, the merrier! I'm popping in tomorrow evening, so will ask Tim where he's planning to put us, and then post on the forum so that newcomers know how to recognise us. Looking forward to it! Amy x
  17. Okey doke! 26th April booked in at House of Tippler from 8pm. Tim has said he'll arrange the lounge area for us, as he did last time. See you all there! x
  18. Yay! I can make the 26th! Firmly in my calendar! Happy to arrange venue etc, if no one else has volunteered?
  19. Ah, I'm off to see my ma that weekend (Mother's Day on the 30th). Hoping to make the next one, though! :)
  20. I think it's a great gym! Good range of classes, good cardio facilities, and clean, pleasant changing rooms. The Fusion Card also allows you to access a number of alternative gyms within Southwark - Peckham Pulse, Seven Islands, Brockwell Lido, etc, all of which offer different facilities. The booking system is better now than it was last year - I've not been refused a single class since November-ish, and I tend to go to around three each week. Personally, I've never even seen a teenager in there, but agree with comments about Saturday/Sunday mornings (when you can wait for up to 20mins for a treadmill) and Friday nights (when you'll struggle to get into the weights lounge for all the 20-somethings trying to pump their biceps before going out on the pull).
  21. Yes, another nay-sayer for Barcelona, I'm afraid. Food is overpriced and overly-greasy, and the service appalling. We dropped by with our Tastecard one midweek evening, and asked if we could still use it despite not having booked (the place was practically empty). Our first waiter checked and agreed that this was fine, but once the bill came after a fairly disappointing meal, we noticed that the discount hadn't been applied. When we queried it, we were met with a degree of rudeness that included loud and embarrassing shouting, flinging our change across the table and onto the floor, and calling us names in Spanish! Absolutely gobsmacked! Certainly will not be going back. Brindisa's fab, though - and the staff are super!
  22. Oooh, yes please! Had so much fun last time! See you all at Tippler xx
  23. So good to meet you all last night! What a lovely bunch! Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, but had a great time! Thanks Sarah-Jane for organising. Looking forward to the next one! :)
