Just selling a few items of clothing outside my house. Like a yard sale... only without the yard.
I'm actually here for a wee bit today, if you'd like to have a peek.

Hi there,
I'm a female post-graduate psychologist conducting research which I hope will go some way to improving clinical services for female breast cancer patients.
I'm looking to have in-depth conversations with women who have undergone reconstructive breast surgery following mastectomy as a treatment for breast cancer. The research will focus broadly on your treatment options, your level of satisfaction and your perception of your body following surgery.
Participants must have:
- had a mastectomy and reconstructive breast surgery (immediate or delayed) following a breast cancer diagnosis
- undergone reconstructive surgery before 1st June 2013
- been 45 years or younger at the point of reconstructive surgery.
Interviews will be strictly confidential and can take place either in my office at a central London hospital, or at a location convenient for you. Any identifiable data will be seen only by the interviewer (myself) and will be anonymised for the purposes of this study. Transcripts will be destroyed following the completion of research, and participants may request copies of the study if they wish.
If you would like to take part or discuss in further detail, please send a private message or call 07817738897.
In exchange for your time, I will donate ?5 per participant to the London-based charity, Breast Cancer Care (www.breastcancercare.org.uk/). I can also promise infinite cups of tea/coffee, and biscuits galore!
With best wishes and thanks in advance,
Amy

Hi Chet! Welcome to ED! Not sure when the next one is, but do keep an eye on this thread for details - would be a pleasure to meet you both!
Great to see/meet peeps last Saturday - those extra glasses of wine meant I did NOT make my spin class in the morning!!! X
-
Exactly there, Clare! See you soon xx
-
Hi! Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all tomorrow night! Tim Tippler has reserved the raised area about half way down the bar, so for anyone new, please come and find us there.
I'm a bit broken today, so will be sure to have a quiet one tonight in preparation for tomorrow!
See you from 8pm!
Amy xx

Brilliant! The more, the merrier! I'm popping in tomorrow evening, so will ask Tim where he's planning to put us, and then post on the forum so that newcomers know how to recognise us.
Looking forward to it!

Okey doke! 26th April booked in at House of Tippler from 8pm. Tim has said he'll arrange the lounge area for us, as he did last time.
See you all there! x
-
Yay! I can make the 26th! Firmly in my calendar! Happy to arrange venue etc, if no one else has volunteered?
-
Ah, I'm off to see my ma that weekend (Mother's Day on the 30th).
Hoping to make the next one, though! :)

I think it's a great gym! Good range of classes, good cardio facilities, and clean, pleasant changing rooms. The Fusion Card also allows you to access a number of alternative gyms within Southwark - Peckham Pulse, Seven Islands, Brockwell Lido, etc, all of which offer different facilities. The booking system is better now than it was last year - I've not been refused a single class since November-ish, and I tend to go to around three each week. Personally, I've never even seen a teenager in there, but agree with comments about Saturday/Sunday mornings (when you can wait for up to 20mins for a treadmill) and Friday nights (when you'll struggle to get into the weights lounge for all the 20-somethings trying to pump their biceps before going out on the pull).
-
Oooh, yes please! Had so much fun last time! See you all at Tippler xx
-
So good to meet you all last night! What a lovely bunch! Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, but had a great time! Thanks Sarah-Jane for organising. Looking forward to the next one! :)
-
I'm new to this too, and really excited to meet some new people! I'm away (becoming a first-time Godmother - yay!) on the 16th but would love to come along on the 26th if it's still going ahead?
Will keep my eyes peeled for further details. Amy :)
