Sadly, I was one of the people Julie recommended Will to, and I had a terrible experience. We asked him to refit a bathroom, and he provided an excellent quote. However, he then sent someone else in to do the work - who made a complete hash of it. When called to question about a long list of problems, Will refused to finish the job, or even to meet with me to discuss it. We have since been to considerable expense to put things right. We have employed someone else (see my separate thread highly recommending Lee Barber) who, when investigating the work done by Will and his employee, found a mountain of rubbish under the new bath, along with a rotten wooden frame than was meant to support the bath, and every single plumbing joint was leaking. Some weren't even connected, so when the bath emptied, the water just sat on the floor underneath it! I could go on to list a lot of other problems left by Will and his employee, but suffice to say that we endured a terrible experience, and wouldn't go near him with a barge pole in future.

We recently asked a local guy to fit a new bathroom in our rental property, and it was a complete disaster. He was clearly an utter cowboy, with no plumbing qualifications and he made a mess of the entire room. Happily, a friend recommended Lee Barber - a handyman and carpenter she had previously employed to refit her bathroom and to build shelves in her front room. Lee came to see the flat the very next day, and started work almost immediately to repair the damage done by the previous guy. He had quite a task on his hands to sort the room out, and acted in a completely transparent and honest way to inform us about what he found, and the remedial work required. We cannot praise Lee highly enough for his professionalism and the quality of his work. Having been let down so badly previously, it was reassuring to find someone who we could trust. I'm looking for help to update a small bathroom at my rental flat on Colwell Road. The work will be to: 1. Supply and fit new bath, sink, and toilet (keep existing wall tiles and towel radiator if possible) 2. Repair damage to wall and skirting from recent leak under bath 3. Paint walls and ceiling 4. Advise on bathroom flooring (i.e. is new lino required?) 5. Supply and fit new internal door to bathroom, including door handle and lock Also, in the kitchen: 1. Repair damage to kitchen wall adjacent to bathroom (damage from leak under bath) 2.
