  1. St. Barnabas Parish Hall in Dulwich Village has a reasonable hourly hire rate. Not sure it's within budget but Space @ 61 in Nunhead is also worth a try.
  2. Come along to Bell House in Dulwich Village tonight for a recital of Jamaican Folk Songs by local musicians Lorraine Liyanage and Adwoa Dickson. This event is part of Black History Month. Ticket price includes wine and patties in the interval. Book online or on the door: http://www.bellhouse.co.uk/events/2019/10/5/jamaican-folk-songs
  3. Andy Cavey is excellent and reasonably priced - best to call him, not email https://www.andycaveytransportservice.co.uk/contact 020 8393 6200 07958 737 599
  4. The Dulwich Music Festival is applying for funding for a new community instrument to take into schools for free music workshops and lessons. I would really appreciate your vote if you have a moment to do so: https://foundation.onefamily.com/projects/dulwich-music-festival-community-instrument-acquisition/ We currently offer free harpsichord lessons and workshops at our East Dulwich location. If we are able to acquire an instrument that is easier to transport, we would be able to visit local schools that would be interested in trying out the harpsichord.

  6. The Dulwich Music Festival is now entering its sixth year. Here is the schedule of events for the 2016/2017 academic year. The next event is a free performance opportunity for pianists at The Asylum. The annual piano competition will be held at Dulwich College on June 11 2017. The syllabus will be released soon. Join our mailing list for syllabus updates: [email protected] http://www.dulwichmusicfestival.co.uk/
  7. Much appreciated, SW. For any pianists interested in the harpsichord, there is another part of the festival in November that will be hosted by the Horniman Museum & Gardens with the aim of introducing young pianists to the harpsichord. PM to join the mailing list for more information.
  8. Just a reminder that the closing date for the Piano Classes is the 1st of May. http://www.dulwichpianofestival.co.uk/
  9. Another vote for Lordship Lane Carpets, we used them recently. I also used a local discount card for 5% off: http://www.livelovelocal.net/listings/lordship-lane-carpets/
  10. Here is Alex's web site: http://www.graphicowl.co.uk/
  11. If you can display a festival poster in your school, do let me know and I'll drop some off to you. Thank you!
  12. Thank you, Otta, for passing on the details. I have posters and flyers if anyone is able to take them in to their school and display them. I will see if I can tinker with the Year 2000 error, Medusa, thanks for testing it out. It is our first year we have trialled online entry and payment so this will hopefully be the only glitch!
  13. Please note that the web site is now working properly and the DOB field is not a required field. We look forward to receiving your entry - do consult your teacher who will be able to advise on which class to enter.
