Dulwich Leisure Centre..poor management
harperama replied to Phidan's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've been going a while. I find the reception staff pleasant and helpful. The instructors are great. However I recntly cancelled membership because I'm fed up of turning up to classes only to find that there is no instructor. This normally happens when the regular is on holiday and adequate cover has not been arranged. A couple of weeks ago I rang fifteen minutes before to check the class was definitely happening - I was told it was but after waiting fifteen minutes no teacher, no explanation and told to use gym instead. I didn't want to vent my grievances at reception so emailed the manager but no reply to date. Management is shambolic. A real shame I think it is a nice centre as they go. -
The subject of 'blow in's' seems to crop up regularly in this forum. What constitutes a 'blow in'?

Shame but I'm not surprised - its the only place I have been to in London that is more expensive than Whole Foods!

Must haves - glasses, beard (men), big second hand overcoat, roll up skinny jeans, bright trainers / doc martens. Optional - silly haircut, hat, vintage camera around the neck, old mans jumper (both boys and girls) Never - straight leg jeans, short back and sides, hooded jumper, fleece. Discuss.

Poor little kids - they are just playing and pretty happily I might add! I doubt they have grown up with massive back gardens unlike all these Home Counties blow ins!

How to dispose of estate agents sign?
harperama replied to ellieaness's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The estate agents are legally obliged to remove it and repair any damage (as happened to my property). The estate agents ignored me but a letter to the CEO of the holding company did the trick. I don't see why you should have to borrow tools and find a skip! -
Anyone know when this is opening?!!

Warning - be careful what you throw out...
harperama replied to Pollypops's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I suspect something similar has happened to my partner who just received a letter from sports direct in peckham chasing up money from an 'incident' that happened in store last month... She was abroad at the time but it seems that the perpetrator gave my partners name and address. Definitely be careful what you throw away! -
Crawthew Road closing for 18 months
harperama replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Incredible. I live above a flat which has been illegally converted from 1 bed to 2 beds - the council know all about it and told the owner to put in back by September which he blatantly ignored and now nothing is happening whilst he collects 2 lots of rent. Yet for the sake of 1 rich person a whole street of people is being incovienced - he council seriously need to get their priorities right
