  1. I've an interior door I'd like re-hanging so it opens out of a room rather than into. Any one got any recommendations? Cheers, Jack
  2. Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for a builder to replace my front garden wall. Cheers, Jack
  3. This is not a massive event, it's a very small part of the park and common that will be used, with large areas still open. There is only residential housing on one side of the site, it's not like it's totally surrounded. It's a one weekend event with a short build period. A number of local businesses are involved which is great to see. I fully support these events and can only think they add to the vibrancy and appeal of the area.
  4. Thameslink are running a consultation into services from December 2015. No plans to increase service levels on Sevenoaks (Denmark Hill - Peckham Rye - Nunhead) route despite adding more trains through central London and even a service along the route that doesn't stop. http://www.thameslinkrailway.com/your-journey/timetables/december-timetable-consultation

Issues are often to do with trains going beyond blakfriars, so if two terminated there there may be more chance of at least 2 trains being on time.
  6. 2tph throughout the day is not enough. Given the poor service it is often necessary to get the train before the one wanted, but when that means losing half an hour which is not always possible. - A Bellingham - City Thameslink (or into platforms 3/4 of Blackfriars) timed at 15 minutes to the current Sevenoaks services would be much appreciated, however it needs to be throughout the whole day. It has already been seen how much having a more frequent service results in more use in the London Overground case. I am also failing to see any benefit from the Thameslink Programme other than new trains, which is not a brilliant pay off to the amount of disruption. The increase in services from Blackfriars to St Pancras will surely only result in more people at the stations and more more delays to services as more trains will be using the same tracks. There is already lots of congestion reported as an excuse for delays and with more trains it'll only get worse. Rather than adding trains to more destinations the increase in services should be from more services along the current routes. The new destinations planned still mean a change of trains, which so there is no real improvement there.
  7. Just to recommend Micky who did quite a great job of plastering a room for me - stripping one wall back to brickwork and doing the whole thing. He was very efficient, very thorough in cleaning and keeping the whole place tidy and clean each day he was here. Very pleased with the final outcome too. His number: 07930 678989
  8. I've recently had Gary do some work on my flat - putting up some lining paper and what turned into stripping back and plaster boarding a couple of interior walls. He did a great job, managed to fit it in around what else he had once once it was clear it was going to be longer than originally suspected. He kept me informed of what was happening at all times and was valleys very neat and tidy leaving everything in a pristine state. Also for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. 9. I thought it was great. I only wish I'd prepared for saturday's weather better and made the coffee talk rather than heading home early to put on some more layers. It was great to see such a variety of stalls and wish I'd bought a whole load of things to fill the freezer with.
  10. I think this should be taken as an opportunity to create a fully segregated route. Obviously the demand has already been highlighted due to the creation of the CS6 route in the first place, so it makes sense to continue to create a better solution. James, please use your power as a councillor to get this across to Boris. Thanks.
  11. The wonderful thing about this part of London is the diversity. I think the loss of Iceland to an M&S is sadder not due to the loss of Iceland but the fact it's not going to be an independent or a shop that won't be competing with others near by. After a cheap shop? Tesco on East Dulwich Road or Sainsbury's. Or even Iceland in Peckham is really not that far, and you get ASDA too. That's a lot of supermarkets in a relatively small area.
  12. I just had mine replaced by London Box Sash. Very happy with them. They were through Bespoke Windows on Lordship Lane. Am very happy with them, look amazing, can't tell at first sight that they're double glazed.
  13. Just had Maurice come and do some repairs. Very efficient, polite and neat and tidy. Highly Recommended.
  14. Hooray! I'm more excited about the direct nunhead - blackheath bit. Any idea of any changes to the sevenoaks trains?
  15. I rather concur with Nunhead Village. It has a parade of village shops around a green, and there is definitely a village feel to it, heightened by Evelina Road being so quiet and there being no major through routes through it. I love Nunhead.
