  1. The past week has been one of the coldest we have had in years, yet I can't seem to avoid looking toward the future. Before we know it, spring will have arrived, and it will be that time of year where we really mean ?out with the old.? I have already begun to pack most of my things into plastic totes, and I have come to the conclusion that I want to replace most of my d?cor. I am ready to begin making changes in my life, and that means replacing the old with the new. I am looking for some advice on useful ways of creating a better look throughout my house. I am going to be replacing my table cloths, bedding, pillows, towels, curtains, rugs, and throws. My goal is to create a whole new look and feel to my home. What's the best way to go about this? I started doing some research online and found a great post on Wikipedia. It discusses duvets and can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duvet if you want to read it. I have never used one of these before and I really feel like I would love one. They seem to make the bed not only more comfortable, but also easier to keep warmer while sleeping. I continued my search for ideas and information. I came across http://www.thetowelshop.co.uk/ and found more informative articles on duvets. Anyway, I intend to make several changes around the house. I would love to see pictures of some creative solutions that some of you have used. I am looking for a more earthy type of feel, but I am interested in any tips or styles you guys have used. I intend on making this year one in which I accomplish most of my goals, and I would like to create a feeling of being grounded, centered, and focused.
  2. Which is better would really depend on your needs and current situation. The car would certainly be a nice option because it is a free ride, but if you already own a vehicle you may not have any need for a car. Also, if the car is leased, you will only be permitted to use a certain number of miles before the lease costs more money. This might mean restrictions with the vehicle through the company. The cash has its' own advantages obviously because cash is always a good option for anyone. The real question I would have for you would be what your current situation is and which would be more useful to you.
  3. I have seriously wanted to do a house swap since I saw the movie House Swap a few years ago. I wouldn't know where to begin, but it is certainly something I have really considered doing. I obviously have the concerns of some stranger coming to stay in my home for any length of time. I guess the fact that you will be staying in their home makes it that much easier to do. Are there websites or something that allow people to post a house swap? I would imagine that by now they would have to have built websites for it by now.
  4. At two years old I wouldn't worry to much if he only has a few words under his belt. He is just about to turn two based on what you posted, and it isn't exactly uncommon for most children to say very little until they are two. I know I was worried about our daughter because she wasn't very verbal before she was two. She turned out to be perfectly fine and picked up a huge vocabulary between two and three. If he gets closer to three and still doesn't have a very extensive vocabulary you should begin to consider getting help. As for right now, be patient and see what happens.
  5. The problem with many places, when they first get started, can be that there are various areas of the business that need to be improved. Give it time, because they will eventually figure out what they groove is and start to provide some great service and food, or so I believe anyway. The problem for many places like this is that they don't open very strongly. This can be a huge challenge to come back from at times. If to many people have had the same experience you have had; the whole place might already be on its' way out.
