  3. Copleston Centre Sessional Support Role We are looking for someone to support our exciting programme of activities with older people and people with mental health concerns. Our programme includes: ? Activity sessions promoting individual and community health and well-being ? Real Meals - bringing older people together for sociable but physically distanced lunches at the centre and organising home deliveries for those unable to leave home for any reason. The support role will include: ? Taking weekly meal and activity bookings ? Coordinating collections and deliveries of meals ? Working with programme volunteers ? Liaising with partner organisations and local food providers/cafes You will need the following skills and qualities: ? Experience of working with older people and people with mental health concerns ? Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds ? Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel ? Ability to keep monitoring and financial records ? Experience of working as part of a team ? Good communication across a range of media ? A friendly attitude We are looking for someone who is available to work at the centre, subject to a Covid-safe workplace risk assessment, for 1.5 days a week on Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of March. The hourly rate is ?13.50. For this role, you will be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance payments.   8. 3rd Southwark Scout Group has three Units for children aged 6 - 14 years. Our Units are all flourishing and we are in desperate need of some new leaders. Edward our vicar and Jo our community minister are two permanent leaders and we really need another six to make it work well. No experience is necessary, but we will need a DBS check - this is required and carried out by the Scouting Association. Here at the Copleston Centre our Silver linings programme aimed at the older generation provides A Tai-Chi class every Friday afternoon between the hours of 2.30pm-3.30pm. (?3.00 per class)

Hours: 17.5 Hour week (0.5 FTE) Salary: ?33,000 pro rata The Copleston Centre is seeking to recruit an experienced community Project Coordinator to deliver and develop an existing older person?s service in Peckham, South London. This is a new and exciting role funded by the City Bridge Trust. Responsible to the Centre Board of Trustees, a suitable candidate will: ? Develop and co-ordinate the provision of services delivered by the Silver Linings Project (SLP), in order to maintain or improve the mental health, emotional and physical well-being of residents of Southwark. ? Build on and identify appropriate activities, interventions, services and partners in partnership with the users and the Silver Linings Advisory Board. This will enable SLP to provide an innovative and effective service that meets the real needs of its beneficiaries, optimizing access to the project and using a range of appropriate venues and locations. ? Be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the project including the recruitment, development and management of volunteers. ? Work closely with the Silver Linings Advisory Board including set-up and communication functions. We are looking for a person who has: ? at least 2 years? experience with target group (65s and over). ? at least 2 years? experience of volunteer and staff supervision, development and management. ? the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels both orally and written, and to pass on and generate enthusiasm to the client group. ? good networking experience of building up collaborative partnerships. ? good organisational skills - ability to plan, keep robust records, prioritise and be flexible, and to work unsupervised. ? Leadership skills, but is also able to work collaboratively with teams and is willing to get stuck in. ? a track record as a self starter and is highly motivated. ? knowledge and experience of leading on Safeguarding. ? sympathy with a Christian ethos.   14. The Talking About Music class is Music Appreciation with a difference! We listen to 4 or 5 pieces each week, which the tutor introduces, and then everyone expresses their thoughts and reactions. During each term we follow various themes and composers, and the repertoire of local concerts. Members are also encouraged to bring along their own cds. Lead by a musician and experienced tutor each session costs ?3, and you can attend any time. Fridays 1.30-3pm. "It's a wonderful class, and there's nothing like it in the whole of London!" (Antonia)
