I wanted to recommend Gerry McMormick +44 7872 303925 for plumbing work. He helped me out when another plumber failed me and came to my flat to fit a number of fixtures in my bathroom (thermostatic tap, basin tap, replaced bath screen, put up glass shelves and fitted a worktop). Called him to quote and did the work the next day to a high standard. Really recommend him.

Julian build some floating shelves and cupboards in in my living room and he did a great job! He?s a superb carpenter and they look amazing. He was on time, kept very close to the quote (even when I asked for a pull out desk to be incorporated) and he was tidy. I strongly recommend him!

I'd like to recommend Ray Sutton (07521935457) for general jobs, flooring etc. He came and removed some built in cupboards for me and will be redoing my floor and decorating. He's polite, punctual, kind and tidy. Thoroughly recommended.

I believe she's popped up before on here, but I really wanted to recommend a local dressmaker called Annie ([email protected]). She altered a bridesmaid dress for me down 2 or 3 sizes and did an excellent job in record time. It was a real panic to find someone trustworthy as the previous dressmaker had already ruined one dress but she altered the spare one perfectly. I'm really pleased with the results and that she took into consideration how urgent it was without a fuss. It looks exactly as it did before, but now it actually fits! Very happy with her services, and I know she has a broad repertoire of skills and does other alterations such as upholstery, tailoring etc.
