  1. Posted in response to Administrator Wrath. May I state/ quote satisfied East dulWich Clients addresses? Some of whom have been using my business for TWENTY YEARS? The guys from Callow Locksmiths don't all live in SE22, nor do folks who run the cinema, restaurant staff, bank administrators, OR THE NURSES WHO TREAT YOUR CANCER AT KINGS????? Do they all live in SE22? NO! but they service the residents. We're all part of a wider community . Please reply with alacrity, I'm really interested in how to get around this. Thanks, Administrator Wrath, I work in SE22, and some adjoining postcodes, just like others do. why would you deny me advertising my helpful service? Its not like Im selling crack!
  2. Hi Sam, you can try www.catcalls.co.uk, although Half term may be fully booked already.
  3. Lisa is nice. I expect the other "services" are no longer in business...or at least, you'd hope so!
  4. Peckhamrose, I'm so sorry to hear of your sad loss. : - (
  5. Hi Craftymonster..hope you've got enough info! Saffron obviously knows her stuff, Alex K is very clever and usually right, and Jenjeroo is a qualified Vet, so you should have everything covered! All I'd add is thet Whites Petshop in Sydenham stock a full range of EVERYTHING, all staff give excellent advice, but talk to Dianne or Liz if you want to go straight to the boss-lady. They deliver FREE 2 evenings a week ( great for heavy litter etc )and their number is 0208 778 6981
  6. Hi Saffron, I'm just interested....are you a breeder? If so of what sort? Always good to know folks that I can recommend....
  7. Purrsonally, I've never liked Paris, although I love the rest of France I've seen. But possibly because I never grew up in London, the City and the Thames never ceases to fascinate me....as I'm sure it does many others, and our history, like it or not, is wrapped up with our Monarchy as much as anything else.
  8. Not to mention 6 years at Uni, constant training and qualifying of their nurses, keeping all the drugs in stock, and the equipment up to date......
  9. Ah....so that's what all that was about! Despite the kerfuffle, I still managed to park long enough in the Village to post a parcel ( whilst summat was clearly up at The Gallery,) AND do a speedy divert to avoid getting stuck by the news-team who were at Goodrich Primary. Hardly any disruption....they were indeed slick. So I managed to miss them..... TWICE! The life of this professional Cat-Sitter COULD have been sprinkled with Royal Glitter.....but it wasn't, sadly. Hope they enjoyed The DPG though.....the current Van Dyck exhibition IS rather good ; - )
  10. Oh dear...looks like the fur will be flying soon! However, I can purr-sonally vouch for the quality of care ( to both cat and owner ) of the wonderful Julia Harper at Lordship Lane vets...and would love to know more about the proposed cat-only evening.... I spent some time working in the USA, where they are allowed to have cat-only Vet Practices.....it seems to me to make good sense. Not that I'm anti-dog, but having once had to stand for nearly 30 mins in another practice, ( not mentioned in this thread ) with a VERY heavy cat in a basket, as all the seats and other standing areas were taken up by large, Mastiff / Staffy type dogs, I can tell you it's NOT pleasant, or comfortable. If I had got a seat, the poor cat would have been at eye level with those dogs, who, it has to be said, were all pretty well-behaved, but it would have been even more stressful for him....he doesn't "know" dogs, and to be frank, some of the dogs' owners were pretty clueless....
  11. I'm hearing good things too. They do sound as though they are going the extra mile to be friendly and helpful, which is always appreciated when vets are also expensive!
  12. I know all of the local vet practices, and these guys are quickly getting themselves a good reputation! I'd be happy taking my precious cats here on the strength of the recommedations I'm hearing. Good luck!
  13. I'm pretty familiar with all the local vets, and this practice is getting good comments from those of my clients who've used them so far. I also visited the other day to say hi, and catch the general vibe, and found them friendly and professional, and the waiting area clean and spacious....QUITE unlike the LL practice which is cramped and awkward, particularly if you have a cat in a basket, and there are already dogs waiting to be seen. I too would happily pay more for a thorough service, and a happier pet ( and owner! ) as a result....and I wish them well.
  14. I should think that if marketed correctly, there's no reason why it wouldn't work....ED is full of open-minded Creatives, and as long as it's not intimidating to look at, and the designs/work are arty and innovative, well why not? Would be helpful to see some of your work / website first though...
  15. Check out www.catcalls.co.uk .....over 20 years caring for local cats!
