It climbed out of our back window so good chance it might be in a garden nearby this address. A house cat, so were really worried about it starving or getting hurt.

  4. Hope your well,

Craig here. I'm doing some social history research on music in Peckham and South East London. Really interested to hear about Intone Records, which appeared to be Peckham premier stockist of soul and reggae music, or any other stories or info about other record shops and vinyl suppliers in the area. Really would be a pleasure to hear from you.

    Many thanks

    Craig

  5. Hope your all well,

This is Craig here. I'm doing some local Social History research on the famous (or infamous!) Bouncing Ball Club of 43 Peckham High Street. Did you see Desmond Dekker, Jah Woosh, Delroy Wilson, Taper Zukie, Johnny Clakre, U Brown or any of the other great artists who played? I'd love to hear of anybody's info or memories of going to the club.

    Many thanks

  7. Hi folks, this is Craig here. I'm trying to find info on clubs and venues around Peckham area which played predominately soul, ska and reggae music in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Know there were places such as the Paradise Club and the Top Twenty, and I'm sure many others, but drawing a complete blank in finding further info. Any help or notes on a mis-spent youth is more than appreciated. If you'd like to mail anything you can get me on [email protected]. Ta.
  8. Hi folks,

This is Craig here. Trying to get in touch with anybody who was a pupil at the school in 1972 (I think). This is a fantastic story. Bob Marley was broke and couldn't afford his fare back to Jamaica. Stranded in London, he was persuaded to play a lunch time gig at the school, along with Johnny Nash. (some pics attached). He went back to Jamaica after and promptly became reggae's first international superstar!

I run a ska and reggae night called Honey Hush at the Bussey and Peckham Peculiar has got in touch. They want to do a feature on the Bob Marley story and the club night and they'd love to interview anybody who was at the school gig.

This is your chance for Peckham Peculiar stardom. Fingers crossed some ex-pupils are out there.
