  1. There's a shop which used to be called The Gardens cafe (in an old electrical engineer's shop), it's directly opposite Peckham Rye, near The Gardens square in SE22, the TO LET board has their number.
  2. The area is a shit hole, people have no manners or standards, I live in East Dulwich and need to use PR station for work, if I had children, I certainly wouldn't let them run around strangers near a filthy train entrance alley, it's 2014 and we're in South London, we should be watching our children like hawks. Similarly, if I ran a hairdressers, I wouldn't throw anything into the road. Would you? This is the argument ... THEY ARE!
  3. I think it's dangerous for the kids to play unsupervised near a busy train station where it's full of strangers and the occasional tramp. They are annoying when they run towards you but they don't seem to have ANY manners, and don't know how to apologise. I can't wait for the new exterior to be knocked down and re-built. Call me a middle-class snob, which I am, but with houses costing nearly ?1M off near-by Bellenden Road, I think a clean, coffee shop lined, and weave free station entrance isn't too much to ask. With the exception of Boots, there isn't one shop on Rye Lane I would use - pound shops fine, they're handy, but fruit and veg shops which looks as fresh as a dirty dustbin and butchers that look like they need to be shut down by environmental health, beggers and weave everywhere mean I am staying away until the arrival of Waitrose, M&S, nice cafe's and restaurants.
  4. Last night it was quiet for balls of hair and children, Monday was HELL on EARTH, I wonder what this evening will bring.
  5. ???? - I am a jolly and smiley media professional. I just get very frustrated when I have to walk through a playground with crap on the floor - if I dumped rubbish in my road, surely I'd be done for fly-tipping? Don't get my started on the busses - people eating smelly food, babies and prams making a song and dance getting on and off, and only usually travelling 2 stops, oh and the drivers who can't drive - excessive breaking and slowing down so we stop at EVERY traffic light.
  6. I did complain to Southwark council as I am sick to death of walking through hair weave and dirt on the Blenheim Road exit to the station, it's disgusting some evenings. I have even seen dead mice as people just throw food and packaging on the floor. Last night, the unruly kids were running in the alley, and playing football, with no supervision and bashing into people. It's mayhem between 6-7pm.
  7. Is anybody else getting rather irate when leaving the station in the evening and having to battle through loads of unsupervised children with scooters and footballs?
  8. Hi, I have been with Dr Cliffe at The Gardens for ages, and she's great. Dr Steven's is also really nice as well. I agree with the comment about Dr Tran - slightly odd character. Some of the Receptionists are nice - some a little brutal! The Gardens surgery is great as you can park in the square, the nearest chemist though is a bus ride or 15 minute walk.
  9. Thanks, not really a massive fan of poetry!
  10. Does anybody know of a venue/pub in East Dulwich that does dating/speed dating nights for gay guys? I am an East Dulwich resident who's 30 years old and fun and friendly and trying to find a nice bloke to date! Let me know if you can help, or if you want to buy me a drink!
  11. The Actress is nice but if there's major sport on, it's a bit rammed. Their pizza's are nice. I like The Clockhouse on the corner of Barry Road a Peckham Rye - friendly and full of REGULARS who are hilarious. New Manager who has taken over is also really nice.
