  1. Hi ladies,

I"m an ED mum myself, and newly trained birth and postnatal doula, now taking on new clients.

If you're considering having a doula for your birth, or think you might like some support once your baby arrives, then please do get in touch via [email protected]

Equally, if you're just curious at this stage and want to learn a little more about the role of a doula and how I can support you, I am always happy to chat.

My website is torialexander.co.uk and i'm a full member of Doula UK, the accrediting body for doulas in the UK.

    Warm wishes,

    Tori x

  3. There have been many recommendations for him already on here, but I want to add a huge thumbs up for Russell Perring, who, with his team have just finished re-roofing our house. He?s a lovely chap and I?d go as far to say the best tradesperson I?ve ever dealt with. He?s straightforward, honest and clearly very experienced in the trade. We had to wait a good six months for him to start which felt rather long at the time, and did so after reading other recommendations, but it was well worth the wait indeed and once he was here the job was done amazingly quickly.

As you can probably glean, a raving review all round.

  4. They are fantastic - re overnight care they do have the facilities, but as taper says there just isn't a nurse or vet present to handle any over night deteriorations. We had to transfer our little kitty to the closest emergency/overnight clinic from TNV to the clinic in Sloane Square just before her end - the Neighbourhood vets were like none i've dealt with before though, fantastic.
  5. Hello,

I have a newly available slot on a Sunday morning for a 121 yoga class. 121 classes can be a good introduction to yoga, and all abilities are welcomed and encouraged - you don't need to be flexible to do yoga despite what lots of people think!

I'm a fully certified teacher working locally. Take a look on my website for more info thegreatestyou.co.uk/one-to-one-yoga

    Thanks,

    Tori

  7. Do you feel exhausted all the time, even after a long sleep? Find it impossible to lose weight and keep it off? Feel constantly stressed? Find yourself emotional eating and lacking in willpower? Experience cravings? Know you should make changes but lack the motivation or knowledge to do so?

As a certified Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach, working and living in East Dulwich, I can help. Different from a nutritional therapist and dietician, I not only assess the nutritional needs, but consider the individual as more of a holistic entity, looking at other factors that constitute health - stress, sleep, etc. That said, I think the work of the above mentioned are fantastic in their own right, but what I do is something slightly different.

Please see my website for more info thegreatestyou.co.uk/health-coaching/

I"m offering 10% off your first two sessions when booked before the end of January, so do get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

I can also provide references upon request, so please don't hesitate to ask.

    Many thanks,

    Tori

  10. Hello,

If you're looking to start a regular yoga practice but feel a private, 121 class would suit you better than a group, then I can help.

A fully certified teacher, I work with adults on a 121 basis, specifically tailoring classes to meet individual needs. I live in ED and currently have clients here, in Peckham, Sydenham, Forest Hill and West Norwood.

  12. Hello,

I just wanted to get the attention of any cat owners out there who may not realise how poisonous lilies are to cats. Lots of people know, but I now know that lots of people also don't have a clue.

We were sadly in the latter group, and devastatingly our little black cat passed away a couple of weeks ago due to eating just ONE lily petal (as far as we know). I really feel that more people need to know of the dangers. The whole of the plant, leaves, stamen, petals, the lot are highly, highly poisonous - and if ingested cause kidney failure, and in some cases, as with ours, death.

Also sending high praise to The Neighbourhood Vets who really did all they could, and provided such a high level of care and compassion during the difficult time. As did the emergency vets Elizabeth Street. They're also hopefully going to be putting up some posters around the surgery to spread awareness.

Please, if you have cats, do not have lilies in the house. This may be old news to a lot of people, but even if just one owner sees this and didn't realise, I"m happy!
