  1. Following up your request to screen Taking Liberties as part of the Dulwich Paradiso Film Club season... Our March/April season is already planned (see www.paradisofilm.co.uk)but Taking Liberties will definitely be on the list to consider for next season. If you want to be kept up-to-date with all future screenings just email us at [email protected] (with 'mailing' in the subject) and we'll be happy to add you to the emailing list. Hope to see you at one or more of this season's films!
  2. As one of the 'very nice' people who help run Cinema Paradiso that certainly sounds interesting. We're slightly stretched at present getting ready for the new season (visit www.paradisofilm.co.uk for details) but I'll talk to the others and see what might be possible.
  3. Help! Has anyone got some lights which they could lend us for a children's event tonight at the church on East Dulwich Grove (opposite the hospital). A number of children's bands are performing and the church's own lighting isn't working. We need a couple of floodlights or similar to light the stage. Can anyone help? Has anyone got any suitable disco lights or lights for photography/filming? It's for a good cause! If you can help or have any ideas please call Derek on 020 8693 5372 or 07823 884506. It starts at 7pm tonight so not much time! Thanks
  4. We might be able to help! I'm one of the group of volunteers than runs the Dulwich Paradiso Film Club but we operate outside of ED too! We have all the equipment and also accounts with a couple of distributors etc. Have a look at the website www.paradisofilm.co.uk (you can email us via the site if you like). We've a new season starting at the EDT on 30 October but we also like to do interesting one off events. For example, we're doing an autism friendly screening of a kids film at Darrell Road Community Centre on Oct 6. Anyway, maybe hear from you if you're interested in talking more. Neil
  5. Yes, Dulwich Paradiso is pleased to be back at Lordship Lane too! We heard about edt being free on a Tuesday night and got in there quickly! The manager of the venue has been really supportive, which is great. We're definitely interested in ideas for special screenings of films - including An Inconvenient Truth. Just keep the requests coming! We're thinking about maybe doing a late night film too - starting 11pm Sat night. Is that a good idea?
  6. The Dulwich Paradiso Film Society starts its new season on Tuesday 17 April at a new venue - Upstairs @ edt (east dulwich tavern). Visit www.paradisofilm.co.uk to see what's on offer this season. Before each film we're interested in screening short films by local amateur film makings (young and old!). Must be short - ie ten minutes or so, and on dvd. If you're interested in showcasing your work in front of a local audience then email us via the website. Neil
