  1. We bought this unit but it is too big for our corner unit. Unfortunately threw away all the original packaging so can’t return it. Also the kitchen fitter drilled one tiny hole in it to try and make it fit. £175 new.

    Description from the website -

    https://www.kitchenfittingsdirect.com/gb/corner-unit-fittings/soft-close-magic-corner-unit.html

    • Kitchen corner unit can be fitted in a left hand or right hand installation
    • Perfect for optimising blind kitchen corner storage space
    • It comes with four wire baskets and is fitted on soft close runners
    • For a minimum 900mm corner unit
    • Possible to fit to a 1000mm unit (some space will be left at the rear of the cabinet)
    • Blind side minimum depth of 430mm is 70mm less due to centre post in middle of corner unit
    • Maximum Weight Capacity: Internal Basket - 9kg per basket / Door Mounted Basket - 7kg per basket
    • Solid base corner solution also available
    • Fittings and instruction manual included
    • Open door and front two baskets will come out while two baskets from the corner extend to the front of unit
    • Add lighting to blind corner:
      - Led strip light
      - Auto door switch for automatic lighting when door opens

The magic corner unit is typically used when you have a tight blind corner in a kitchen cabinet. When it comes to storage these units really offer the best solution, superior to that of the carousels or kidney corner unit, as they make the most efficient use of the space in a blind corner base unit, meaning that it is virtually entirely accessible. This particular magic corner unit is reversible which means can be installed in either a right or left hand configuration.

  2. I'd like to add a recommendation for Dave to this thread. Dave came to look/quote at very short notice when we were worried that we had a damp issue we'd need to fix before a new kitchen was installed. He was honest and straightforward - telling us that there actually wasn't a damp issue, how to sort out the mould we could see easily ourselves, and avoiding us unnecessary expense. Much appreciated.

  3. V cool concrete table for free would need collecting. Originally from Swoon and we bought it second hand about 3 years ago. Have loved it but we’re having a baby so need a bit more space / something with softer corners!

    210 length
    100 width
    76 height

It has a bit of a bow in the middle as you can see from the pic where I’ve put a plank on the top, has had it since we got it.

You’re very welcome to come and look at it if interested. Can also send more pics!

  4. Steve and Nichola from Back to Wood have just left our house after spending the week sanding and finishing four of our rooms, and I wanted to leave a delighted review and recommendation! Back to Wood are professional and they take pride in their work. When they arrived our floors were a right state (original 1895 victorian house - never been done). Back to Wood took up the old carpet and grippers and did necessary repairs carefully and thoughtfully (for example sourcing matching old floorboards to replace ones that wouldn't match when done). The finished floors look absolutely awesome, we couldn't be happier. Also, we work from home, and they kept disruption to a minimum by sealing themselves and any dust in the room they were focusing on and letting us know when the noisiest parts would be so we could work around it. It actually was significantly less disruptive than I feared. The cost was really reasonable. All in all really lovely people who have done a really great job. Attached before and after photos of one of the rooms so you can see. Contact email [email protected] and mobile 07949 411650.
  5. Joseph and his team have just picked up, delivered and constructed a (very heavy) table for us. Really pleased. Nothing a bother for them and very reasonable price. We also had Joseph and his team help us with our house move a couple of weeks ago, and he managed to fit all of our one bedroom flat in his van, which meant only one trip and so again very reasonable price. Good, clear and easy communication. Recommended if you want a stress free time in moving anything!
