  6. Hello! Dulwich Helpline and Southwark Churches Care provides friendly volunteer support to isolated older people in Southwark. We provide one-to-one befriending, run activity groups across the Borough, provide practical support such as light gardening or helping with small odd jobs in the home, provide volunteer transport and organise inter-generational work with local schools. Our services are free to people in Southwark aged 60+ and we currently support over 500 older people. We help to alleviate loneliness and support social networks which improve older people?s quality of life. We simply couldn?t support so many older people in our local community without our fantastic 300+ volunteers! We are always looking for more volunteers to work with us - if you?re interested have a look at a short film we had made about us by a volunteer film-maker - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giaru0aWO9U If you could spare an hour or two a week, or volunteer less regularly, see our website for more details www.dhscc.org, e-mail us at [email protected] or phone us on 020 8299 2623. We are also on Twitter @DHandSCC or find us on Facebook by searching for ?Dulwich Helpline and Southwark Churches Care?. If you want to make a difference to an older person?s life, we have a volunteer opportunity to suit you! (DH & SCC, Dulwich Community Hospital, East Dulwich Grove SE22 8PT)
