  1. I'm looking for dads with children under 10 to help me with some research. It will involve watching two short videos online and then taking part in a phone call of around 20-30 minutes. Interviewees will be compensated with a ?20 Amazon voucher. Already have lots of mums taking part and need at least a couple of dads too. The organisation I am working for is a respected education and research institution, more details can be found in the survey. Responses will be confidential and anonymised. To enter your details and be eligible to take part in this research please take this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/J5KHDF6 Thank you! (PS admin I hope this is OK to post here, this is not commercial research and am based in ED. Did email to check but no reply. If you need to move it will understand)
  2. I'm looking for a guinea pig! I've just completed a 200 hours yoga teacher training course after many years of my own practice and would like to start using what I've learned. I'm hoping to find someone who is either a complete beginner in yoga or has done very little, but would like to learn or is perhaps just curious about what yoga could do for them. Maybe you fear that you won't be "good" at yoga and have put off joining a class, in which case, don't worry, yoga is for *everyone*, all abilities/bodies/levels of flexibility etc can get a lot out of it. My own practice has shown me how beneficial yoga can be in so many ways, what freedom it can bring, I want to share that with others. But first I need to develop more as a teacher, and that's where I hope someone here can help. I'd be offering two free sessions a week for four weeks, at least initially at my home in East Dulwich. I can be quite flexible about timings, daytime or evening. In return for which you would be giving me a valuable opportunity to try out sequences, adjustments etc and feedback. I teach an ashtanga based vinyasa flow form which can be modified for all abilities and includes meditation (don't worry if you're new to this, it's adaptable) and pranayama (breathing exercises). If you're interested, send me a PM with a bit of background about yourself, if you've done any yoga before, and what you might be looking to get out of starting this course. Before we go into any actual classes we would arrange to meet at a cafe nearby to just both check that neither of us appears to be an axe murderer and that we think we'll get on as teacher and student. The only other requirement is that you are over 18 and aren't very allergic to cats, since I have one at home. Feel free to PM with questions too.
  3. I need researchers to help me carry out quantitative research in a major London museum. This work will involve approaching families and adult visitors to ask them a series of questions about their experiences, using questionnaires set up on iPads. Applicants will need to be confident, comfortable using technology and have a good command of English. Pay is ?14.50/hr. The work will be 6-7 hours per day and will be running from 19th-22nd May, with likely additional days the following week, dates tbc. Ideally I would like people who are available for all of those four initial days and who would also be available for more the next week. If this sounds like you, please PM with details of any relevant experience in similar work and I'll then give you some more details and request a CV and then arrange a call or meeting (if local to ED). Thanks! Feel free to pass on to anyone else you think might be interested.
  4. Thanks, just veeery cautious about being perceived as spammy! But have posted there too.
  5. (Repost from Lounge) Hi all, I'm recruiting parents for 30 minute telephone interviews, and need a few more. I can't say too much about what it's for at this stage, but safe to say it's not for some huge corporate organisation, will be anonymised, and it won't involve talking about anything very personal. In return for completed interviews, we are offering ?15 Amazon vouchers. If you're interested, please fill out this short survey to see if you fit the criteria and make sure to leave your email address at the end. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3JW87PG I'll be in touch if you've been selected. Feel free to share with others. Any questions let me know! Many thanks! Martha
  6. Just realised this would of course be better posted in the family section. Ah well.

  8. Thanks Admin, much appreciated. It's a fair way down now though, but I'm guessing a bump would be frowned upon. And thank you giggirl ;) SJ we are sort of like a low rent freemasons.
  9. Tenner per post seems fair :) Can admin or anyone confirm if I am OK to post in the lounge, or if not where I should be? I'm guessing there is no way to reinstate my deleted posts? Thanks.
  10. No worries, not taken personally :) Which is the right bit then, the business section? Or wanted? Last one was aimed at families so seemed to make sense to post there, and did think the Lounge would be best but will happily repost wherever it would be allowed.
  11. Oh, just seen bit in terms of use about "Abuse of this site for commercial gain" which I guess you feel this would come under. Genuine apologies if it's seen this way, I'm not making any extra money for people who do the survey, I get paid either way to do the research, so didn't really think of it in those terms.
  12. Um, I guess that's why my posts got deleted, I was trying to figure it out. Genuinely didn't realise I was doing the wrong thing, sorry! (And hello quids, we've actually met before in person at a poker game, but no hard feelings). I am indeed a freelancer, and getting paid for it (and a fairly long time forum member under a different name), but not sure I understand why this is bad? If it makes a difference, I do this for museums or educational organisations, not giant corporates looking to find better ways to flog you stuff. But mainly I just need lots of people to respond, and last time I got a great (and friendly) response from this forum and others, and people are usually quite happy to be interviewed afterwards and compensated for their time so I thought this was a good place to post. Of course I won't post again if it's against forum rules, I wouldn't have done so if I'd realised. Would be great if someone could explain why it is though, and which section I should have posted in. Thanks! Would rather you didn't ban me, though, ta.
  13. Hi all, If you have some spare time this weekend or next week, would appreciate some help with this survey about online activities https://wellcome.typeform.com/to/VFAAaz. There is a chance to win a ?100 Amazon voucher, but also to be recruited for focus groups and interviews which would also include compensation (and catering!). Please do share around as well, need as many responses as possible. Many thanks! Martha
  14. Hi all, All your responses were very helpful in developing the project, which was about creating a series of videos of science activities for families. Quite a few people asked to be notified when it was properly live, so just wanted to let you know that the series has now been launched on the Royal Institution's channel You can also find out more on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Ri.ExpeRimental?fref=ts. Thanks again for your help!
  15. Thanks all for filling it in, very useful answers and feedback that will help develop the full series of videos. @newtoedf I'm not sure what the link at the end of the survey is but you can share the link in the original post above, thanks!
