  3. Full marks for Gary and his team! We have been using Gary for the last 20 years in East Dulwich and are never disappointed. He has undertaken extensive external repointing as well as external and internal decoration. He and his team are unfailingly polite and tidy as well as perfectionists. A great combination! I thoroughly recommend.
  4. I am looking for a wedding photographer for a central London wedding in June 2024. Please respond via private message.
  5. We thoroughly recommend Gary and his team - great quality result, polite, honest and very tidy! He painted the outside of our house 15 years ago and did such a good job we haven’t needed to ask him back - at least for that job! The team have been back several times for different decorating works and last week just finished rescuing a room with severe leak damage. Good as new!
  6. My husband?s brown leather wallet went missing somewhere on Lordship Lane/ Northcross Road last night. The cards were used but quickly cancelled. However the wallet also included train tickets and sentimental photos. If you find it, please let me know!
  7. We had a great meal via takeaway last night. Delicious unusual food. A real gem and addition to Lordship Lane. Well worth supporting
  8. I've just been on the phone to Conway and they tell me that the works to replace the speed humps have been delayed - not sure when the work will start. We can move our cars back today, anyway.

Hi, Just want to reiterate this - couldn't recommend Peter Benison highly enough. Great job and superb attention to detail. We seem to be saving a lot on our heating since he installed our new boiler.
  10. Hi, Again I would also recommend Alan from 123 Chimney Sweep. He is courteous and punctual- and carefully and tidily cleans our chimney! We worked out that father and son had been coming to clean our chimneys for over 20 years! They do open fire chimneys as well as wood burning stoves. Contact number 020 8668 9914.

  12. Hi a sad black cat is hanging around our front door. It is black. I have photo.
  13. I would like to add my recommendation for Andy of Andyman. It was from the Forum that we originally got his contact details. Andy and Richard worked in our house recently, redecorating our daughter?s bedroom. Excellent work, and all done with great care and attention. It was a pleasure having them here and they?ll be back very soon to do other work.
  14. On behalf of the Copleston Centre I wanted to let you all know that we shall be doing a bucket collection charity fundraiser at the Dog Kennel Hill Sainsbury's today and tomorrow. If you don't see us outside, there should be collecting jars on the tills. We call ourselves`; 'Your space in the heart of the community', and we aim to serve the local community by providing much needed services such as our Creative Therapy Project to promote mental wellness, youth clubs, and projects to beat isolation (street parties and Christmas dinners). Please come along to Sainsbury's this weekend to find out more about our charity, and if possible, donate to our cause! Thank you for taking the time to read this, we really appreciate it!
  15. That's really useful - I'll contact them directly. Do you happen to know what happens at the centre? What is special about it? Is it on Lordship Lane?
  16. Thanks! I'll check it out. Hope they still have one!
  17. Hey does anyone know whether it is still possible to get a place in the Virgin triathlon in August? I've heard that is a fun one to run because you can enter with a friend and do different parts if you want. I heard the only way i can enter now is if i promise to raise loads for the big charities. Any ideas?
  18. Just want to add my recommendation of Steve the Spindoctor. Professional (knows his stuff, fixes things, reliable) courteous and reasonable. What is not to like?
  19. I can't recommend Steve highly enough. He has sorted out problems on my fridge, washing machine and dishwasher quickly, competently and reasonably. A real case of local is best!
  20. Let's celebrate Southwark - the sun will be shining, people will be happy and proud - achievements will be celebrated - it'll be something to enjoy and remember. Why choose to be negative? Whitten Timber on Peckham hill street will have a Caribbean food/music stool, ice cream van and candy floss stand outside its gates from 930am. . There will be limited parking available as well to watch the torch fly pass.
