Lovely to hear from so many to-be first and second time mums via pm and here. I am thinking a Saturday meet up as I work full time so can't yet meet in the week. We did one with some ED mums last Saturday and it worked really well and was lovely to meet so many mums. Lets get the ball ralling... how about Saturday 7th Feb at 2:30. Depending how many come I can book a space at Canvas and Cream? I won't be bringing my little one, but if any mums are let me know. Pm or respond here to let me know. x

Thanks for organising today KJ, was great to meet so many new mums. Look forward to keeping in touch. (If anyone is based towards Forest Hill end PM me, am hoping to organise a FH one as well) x -
Hi everyone Think this thread kind of faded, but I met up with some fanastic East Dulwich mums to be today (I am pregnant with my second) and it made me think we should try a Forest Hill meet up as I'd also love to meet Forest Hill mums. I'm happy to organise one. PM or reply if interested, and I'll find us a date and venue... GlamourBug

I'll be there too, thank you for organising! x -
Thank you EVERYONE for your comments. That's really helpful, and reassuring to hear of others in the same position. We're a few months away from birth and I've not yet had those generous offers... but I'm sure they'll come nearer the time! Astrid, the doula idea is interesting, how did you find one? Thanks again to everyone.

Hi I am giving birth to our second in June, and by then will have a 2 year old. We don't have local childcare support ie family that we can call on last-minute when I go into labour. What have other people done? Is there an organisation locally who can help with such events? We'd like someone we can call very last minute to look after the little one until a member of our family arrive (or possibly to look after throughout the birth), so we'd have to get to know them a little bit presumably...! Any thoughts? What have other people done who don't have family nearby? Thanks all! x

Hi, sorry for the late response. I'm also up for the 24th.. Lordship lane sounds good. 2pm sounds good. Can anyone recommend a venue? I am not yet around in the day but happy to meet up once on mat leave (my first is almost 2). Emily- hope to meet you next time. x -

Hi everyone I am a local mum and am pregnant with my second (due June 2015)... Am also interested to meet other local mums and looking out for the 2015 summer babies thread. If there are any other full time working mums, am happy to meet at weekends. My little one is 20 months and loves a kick about in the park regardless of the weather! X -
Hi everyone My husband and our 1 year old recently moved to Forest Hill and are looking to meet some new local parent friends. I am a working mum but am taking a break over summer, so I'd love to have some mums to explore the area with. We are also keen to make parent friends for playdates at the weekend. We're a really adventurous family and like to be out and about, but equally happy to have a playdate/coffee date and discuss the joys & challenges of early family life! Look forward to hearing from you. Nadia
