  1. https://nextdoor.co.uk/p/fJbk8DyLLM6b?utm_source=share Lost Found Missing Cat GPS Tracking Does it exist? Missing Lost Found Cat Cats If such a thing as a GPS tracking device chip exists for Cat's do consider having one 'injected.' This recent post shared via Nextdoor got me thinking, with what seems to be a 'hotspot' of lost cats in and around Nunhead - Please enlighten me if ANY cat can have a GPS tracking chip fitted by a vet - if yes please share more details. Recently I was informed that a local person had been stealing cats then selling them, I understand that a court order was issued in late 2019 forbidding this person from having cats. With one eyed Coco who unfortunately was recently found but had to be put to sleep, I never suspected theft, but you do wonder. That a local person 'HAD' a reputation for cat theft I would hope would encourage all local cat owners to get a GPS tracking chip (if such a thing exists) fitted. Jess Qu - Brockley - Via Nextdoor 19 Jan 2021 Wandering Mandu. This fluffy guy is Mandu, who lives on Adelaide Avenue. He's always been very independent and likes to be out and about, but since the second lockdown he's been staying out more and more and sometimes overnight. We think maybe he's convinced someone he's a stray in need of food and warmth and they're letting him into their house. He's very outgoing and loving and while I'm glad if he's a nice distraction to all the gloom at the moment we get very worried about him when he's gone overnight. If he is visiting you, please can you not feed him and make sure he's outside again in the evening so he can make his way home to curl up with his sister? He has plenty of food, beds and love here so no need to worry he's in any need! Dear Jess most thoughtful and un-expected post, whoever might be feeding your cat I hope is well intentioned not considering the possible consequences or worse still could this be deliberate 'grooming'? do share is Mandu still returning home? I know nothing about cats apart from my experience of trying to help rescue some lost locals - if it exists do consider having a GPS tracking chip 'injected' by a vet 1) This would give you peace of mind 2) This could also locate any feeding 'hotspots' ie give you an X marks the spot on who is feeding your cat, then you could visit and have a 'friendly chat.' Feedback on my advice/theory most welcome

  9. If you have any Philip of Nunhead memories or photos please share them here. A Plaque of Dedication hopefully will soon be fixed to what will always be known as Philip's Bench. In Loving Memory of Nunhead Green Legend Philip. You always had a good generous heart. You always made us smile and laugh. Taken from us too soon. May you finally be at Peace with an everlasting supply of Jamaica Rum. My shared memory: Philip from Jamaica was a lovely guy but had a troubled life, never see him eat, had not seen some of his grown up kids for years. Way back Philip worked for the BBC. The bench seen here was always his spot. Many looked out for him, last year was in and out of hospital many times, and his health declined. I always made time to sit and chat with this lovely guy when I passed by, quite often he would give me some cigars, remember once he had a box of Cubans and still shared some with me. Never a shrinking violet or afraid of speaking his mind, I witnessed some 'lively' exchanges. Philip was a big fan of 'Elvis From Nunhead' and recall him dancing as only Philip could dance to the King. Had seen Philip on the Green for years, however I only really got to know this guy after the start of my slow journey to recovery which started in June 2020. I prayed with Philip around Christmas 2020 he was very low feeling dejected and shared dark thoughts 'Philip you are my friend we don't want you to leave this earth any time soon.' An intensely private guy, and would never have visitors which included the Salvation Army who would ply Philip with hot drinks and food, which more often was left un-touched or given away. At his passing Philip was all alone at home.

  19. Cleo shared from Nextdoor - Personally I hope you can avoid the need to make such a financial outlay - however the final choice of course is yours. As 'Nina' commented: 'It seems bonkers for you to go and pay for assessments privately one by one.' Nadia Harley psychiatrists 0203 871 8263. Ask for Dr Rathore. Child may still get treatment from them even if no autism diagnosis. My daughter has similar issues. Price is ?345 for parent assessment and ?745 for child assessment. Your child may be Aspergers or have social anxiety around other children. We also use an amazing specialist Sen tutor since my daughter was about 5 years old and she has helped my daughter stay in and excel in mainstream education. However with lockdown she can only do online lessons and for a child of 6 years old that is very young for online learning. I can pass on her details for when lockdown is over as may be useful then. Jaymie ? Lewisham Town Centre Drumbeat in lewisham may be able to guide you? They are a specialist school for Autism and they help do assessments for schools.
