Description of Practice An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated RVN to join our RCVS accredited practice. Paxton Veterinary Clinic is a well established practice situated in South London committed to delivering the best care for both our patients and clients. We are well equipped with digital xray, ultrasound and endoscopy. You will be part of a two nurse team, working alongside our three friendly, experienced vets and assisted by our Practice Manager, Animal Care Assistant and Receptionists. Duties In this role you will be able to utilise all aspects of your nursing skills. Our nurses regularly place IV catheters, obtains blood samples, perform blood pressures, position for x-rays and run a wide variety of nurse clinics. We see a variety of cases allowing your clinical skills and knowledge to develop. Shifts are Monday to Friday, working 1:2 Saturday mornings with the following Friday afternoon off and no OOH. We pride ourselves in being a small friendly practice, with an emphasis on client care. We are looking for a team player, a good communicator and enjoys their work. We are a small local business with 11 employees and are looking for someone external to the business to carry out our yearly appraisals. This would involve a 45 minute 1 to 1 meeting with each staff member who will have a pre-completed appraisal form to discuss, and there will also be a performance appraisal form completed by the Management Team to discuss. We have always done this in-house, but feel with the right person, we may obtain a better understanding of how our staff feel about their roles and how the company is doing in providing a good work place if someone completely independent carried out the meetings. We are therefore looking for someone with previous appraisal experience, from any back ground, for 2 to 3 days work to complete the interviews and give feedback to the Management Team.
