  1. Can anyone recommend a good one on one French tutor they have experience with? I am looking to learn conversational French that would be spoken. I don't need to learn it formally as a text would teach it. I want it to be fun and useful. In other words I don't need to know how to say the cat is wearing a black hat! Lol. Any suggestions welcome. :)
  2. Was in there last night and I am impressed. It looks a million times better than before! Great beer garden and pleasant staff😄 haven't tried the food yet but hopefully it's good. Quirky seating places, leather sofas and a much warmer feel. Looking forward to enjoying my new local more!
  3. Otta....I applaud your responses. As for ED thinking that smoking should be banned in a public places i wonder if he/she would mind banning drunken lude behaviour as well. And sue.....reformed smokers are truly hypocritical. Give it a rest and like otta said move away.
  4. Hey ED, I have a right to smoke in an adult environment and that doesn't Make me a skank. How dare you judge me like that. You don't even know me. asshole. I would not sit down and light up next to a child and blow smoke towards them. But if I am out at a pub, having a cigarette, it's completely inappropriate for someone to ask me not to because they choose to sit next to me.
  5. Hi James! So gutted I missed out on this. Can you tell me when the next one is likely to be so I can look out for it?? Cheers, Jenn
  6. Hahahaha! Love that I said spoke instead of smoke and sweating instead of swearing! Hiccup!! Lol
  7. Yeah kidkruger. I had a mum ask me not to spoke on the back patio of a pub. I told her that since smokers can't go inside that space is used by smokers and so I had no intention of not smoking. Same with sweating. A place that sells alcohol is an adult establishment. So I won't curb adult behaviour. If I was in a playground it would have been a different story.
  8. Hahahaha! Glad to know I am not alone. Yeah I know they are after 8:30, but on the weekend when I go for a lovely glass of vino in the afternoon, pram dodging and shrieking kids kind of ruins it. Sorry....I do love kids but not all the time!
  9. I know I will probably get slated by some people for saying this....but does anyone else sometimes wish there was a baby/pram/child free pub in ED?!! Lol
  10. Yes Nigello. I would rather have a sparse front area then a mess. However I don't look down on anyone who doesn't adorn their front garden with plants and flowers, it does take time and money. But for those who can't I don't think it takes more than a bit of sweat and perhaps some hedge clippers to keep it at least presentable. I recognise not everyone has the means to have lovely plants and flowers, hence why I appreciate those who do have have the means and take the time to do it. :) I hope the original poster is not put off for good now. :)
  11. Stuff like annoys me because I am grateful when people make their front garden look nice. It means everyone can enjoy it and it adds value to he street. But then there are always selfish d*ckheads that ruin it for everyone else with behaviour like that. :(
  12. I take your point First Mate. I think it is what it is though and I guess us ED residents will have to adjust and learn to live with it.
  13. So presumably closed for refurb to be reopened by the redcom pubs lot?? Can't wait! It's about time. Previous owner was a nightmare.
