  1. Hi everyone! I have been privately tutoring mathematics for years, but have always had a passion to help more students than my timetable allows, and to make it much more affordable so everybody can learn to enjoy maths :) So, from Monday 9th April, I will be running Foundation and Higher-tier GCSE Maths Revision Classes online. For the seven weeks up to the first exam, I will be going over every topic in the syllabus and, by using examples and setting questions, making sure every student feels more confident about sitting their maths papers. Most importantly, the size of the classes and how they will be structured will ensure students can ask questions and be provided with individual assistance whenever it is needed. Each weekly class will be for an hour and the Foundation and Higher-tier classes will start at 4:30pm and 5:45pm, respectively. I have limited spaces available so if you have any questions or would like to book a place in a class, please contact me using the number in the flyer or ask me in the comments. Thank you!

I have attached the digital flyer to this post. 3. Good afternoon everyone, I have been successfully providing private maths tuition in and around the Dulwich area for nearly five years. My students have ranged from Year 7 up to A-level, and from those who initially struggle working with numbers to those who believe they can be top of their class or ace their GCSEs with a little extra help. Thanks to my style of teaching and the relationships I build with my students and parents, I receive a lot of recommendations and my timetable is always full. But I have always had a passion to want to help more students conquer their fear of maths and achieve what they are capable of in the tests that matter. So, I have made some additional slots in my timetable, from the beginning of April, to offer low cost GCSE Revision Sessions to a number of students for the upcoming summer exams. If you are interested, please message me. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask 😊 Have a great day, Nathaniel
  4. Hello, My name is Nathaniel Chandler and I have been a GCSE mathematics tutor for over five years. I attended Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College, where I achieved over 95% in my GCSE mathematics exams a year early and went on to be awarded the position of Deputy Head Boy. Since then, I have studied Pure Mathematics at Brunel University and have spent most of my free evenings tutoring those who find working with numbers a bit more difficult than most, and those who want to do as well as possible at the end of the year. The success I have had tutoring students locally - across Dulwich, Norwood, Streamtham and Sydenham - has lead to me launching my own GCSE Mathematics Seminars, in the hope that I can help many more students conquer the subject and achieve what they are truly capable of. So, I am proud to announce that this Easter Break I will be launching the LovePi GCSE Mathematics Seminars! Across two days, our knowledgeable team will immerse your child in the higher-tier mathematics they will need to master in order to excel in their GCSE exams. We have also been accepting requests from parents of pre-GCSE students, who would like their child to benefit from being taught a higher level of mathematics than they have yet been exposed to. We can guarantee that our group teaching methods will ensure no child is left behind! For more information, please see the double-sided flyer I have attached, or contact me directly on: 07595 986 746 or 020 7277 9998 Thank you!
  5. Hello, My name is Nathaniel and I am an experienced maths tutor who lives in Nunhead. I have been tutoring GCSE maths for over six years, because it is something I thoroughly enjoy, and in that time I have helped many students achieve what they thought was impossible. I attended Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College, where I achieved 98.3% in my maths GCSE. I then went on to be Deputy Head Boy and then onto study a Pure Mathematics degree, so your child will be in very good hands. My mother is a teacher of more than 25 years and she also tutors so I guess it's in my blood smiling smiley One of my proudest moments as a tutor was when I was asked to spend a few hours with a girl who had been suspended from school a number of times in her GCSE year and was predicted a D...I spent four hours with her two days before her exam, and then had the pleasure of having her mum call me in tears a few months later because her daughter had got an A smiling smiley Moments like that are the reason why I do this. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will reply as soon as I can. Thanks
  6. Thank you to all those who have been in contact and shown an interest in me tutoring their children :) I have already arranged to meet and start tutoring some of you next week, which is great news! I have had many enquiries as to my availability so I thought I would post is here to make things easier: I currently have some sessions available on Monday and Tuesday evenings and early in the evening on Thursdays. For those who are interested in daytime tutoring sessions and other evenings, I am happy to discuss this and try and find time so please do not hesitate to ask. If my availability changes significantly, as I take on more students, I will be sure to let you all know. Thanks, and have a great weekend :)

  9. Hello everyone, This is just a quick message to say thank you to those who have already shown an interest in the LovePi GCSE Maths Support scheme. I also wanted to say that I have decided to increase the size of the test group to ten students, based on the number of enquiries I have already had. I am currently speaking to a number of parents and have sent information out to a few more. I will be broadening my search in the coming days to the communities that surround East Dulwich so don't hesitate to message me for more information or to secure a place on the free trial for you or your children. Thank you

  11. Hello everyone, My name is Nathaniel, and I recently graduated with a degree in Pure Mathematics BSc from Brunel University. Prior to that I attended Haberdashers? Aske?s Hatcham College and Sixth Form, and was also the Deputy Head Boy. After privately tutoring maths for many years, I have decided to start a low cost GCSE Maths Support scheme called LovePi. LovePi GCSE Maths Support is a unique, affordable way of having the support of a private tutor when you need it. I am currently seeking a small test group of GCSE maths students. They will have full use of the service for free for 3 weeks, after which continued monthly use of the service will cost less than one hour?s private tuition. The service will also be available on a weekly basis. So that there is complete transparency about the exchange of questions and answers between myself and my students, I have decided to use Dropbox as the communication platform. It allows students to send their questions to me wherever they are, they can receive and view my explanations as soon as I publish them, and there is a secure record of all activity with all deleted files being restorable. All parents are welcome to be given access to the shared space we will use to work in and I am more than happy to meet any interested parents. I have more information that I?m very happy to send to out, and any questions are more than welcome. Private message me for either. Thank you

  13. Hi everyone, After speaking to a number of interested parents, I have decided on the size of the trial group. There are less than a handful of available spaces still available so if you are interested or have any questions then please feel free to ask. As I have recently expressed to Maria, I will be ensuring there will be complete transparency so parents will always have access to all communications between myself and their children. It is important to me that I am trusted so I am also considering trying to arrange a meeting between myself and all the trialist's parents nearer the end of the summer break. Kind regards, Nathaniel
  14. Hi Maria, I have no doubt that your daughter can achieve an amazing result, with a little help from me of course :) The LovePi Assistant is a system designed around being as flexible and helpful as possible. That is why communication will be done using email. This is likely to change to a different web-based platform soon after the trial, depending on its success. The principle is that to help students out of school hours, I will be available to help with questions. All that students have to do is take a picture of it and send it to me, then I will send a well-explained, step by step solution. The intention is to empower the students, not do the work for them. So by explaining each small step they should feel more confident in their understanding of the topic and other similar questions. The number of questions that each student will be able to ask me each week has not been finalised but it is likely to be 25. That averages more than 4 for each day they are at school, which should be plenty to help most students through there weekly maths learning. There are of course other details to decide upon, such as the hours I will be making my services available and the speed at which I will endeavour to provide a response, but as I accumulate more trialists I will finalise everything. I will also be inviting feedback from students and their parents during the trial, so I can offer the best service possible. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. Also, please tell your friends. I'm hoping to really make a difference and offer the benefits of tuition at a much more reasonable cost. Kind regards, Nathaniel
  15. Hello, I'm a former Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College and Sixth Form student, who was also Deputy-Head boy. After receiving my education there, I went on to complete a Mathematics BSc and accumulated a number of years of successful maths tutoring. Recently, I have been putting my efforts into starting a project to aid the students local to me, who find mathematics more challenging. I call it LovePi. GCSE Mathematics has always been something that worries the children taking the tests, as well as the parents who are asked to help with revision and maths homework. Achieving a Level 8, averaging 98.6% across the three assessments, and the surprise I experience when people are informed of this, are two of the many reasons I decided to start LovePi, and the LovePi Assistant service. The LovePi Assistant, once it launches, will be a very low-cost service that gives students and parents the security of knowing there is help always available to their children when there is maths homework to be done and in the run up to test and exams. Before the LovePi Assistant is offered to the local masses, I am looking for a group of students to trial the service for FREE from September. The trial will last two week, after which the monthly service will be available to students for less than the cost of one hours private tuition. If you have any other questions or are interested in your child being one of our trialists, please contact me or post a reply in this thread and I will do my best to respond quickly. Have a good bank holiday :)
