  1. The Friends of Dog Kennel Hill School  summer fair is on 1st July and we are excited to say we have Surrey Docks Farm on site from 1pm-3pm with a small petting farm. 

    If you are free and looking for something to take your children to do pop along and join us.We will also have a bouncy castle, face painting, lots of fun games and some of our school bands playing!

  2. The Friends of Dog Kennel Hill School would like to offer their deepest condolences to all Barbara?s family and friends and all the staff that worked with Barbara over the years.


    This has been a big shock to our school community - Barbara was loved by pupils and parents past and present. We also want to thank all those who helped on Friday and for all the words of support that have been offered to our community.

  4. DKH school is holding a number of open mornings for potential new nursery & reception starters next September. Come and look round our lovely school, meet some of the staff, children and parents!

    Dog Kennel Hill School is having its Christmas Fair at 3.30pm to 5.30pm, on Friday the 8th December.

    We have a raffle with some great prizes, including a signed England shirt, designer jewellery,theatre tickets, and many vouchers for treats at businesses in and around East Dulwich and beyond.

    There will be lots of music from the kids, art, food, Santa 🎅🏼 and a small Christmas market.

  6. Tomorrow is our big event of the school year ? our Summer Fair - and whether it rains or shines it promises to be a carnival-tastic day. The fair starts at 12 noon and runs until 4pm. There will be all the usual fun games, bouncy castle, gladiator, beat the goalie, face painting and hair braiding, BBQ and International Caf?, finishing off with the ever-wonderful Ping Pong Race down Grove Hill Road.




    This year, to celebrate our theme of Brazil and the Olympics, we will have a Capoeira team coming to demonstrate their amazing martial arts skills at around 3pm. We will also have an Olympic Zone obstacle course in the small Reception playground, and the nursery playground will also be full of crafts and games, storytelling and trikes for the younger children.

    We are in for a musical treat this year, with performances from each year group. The music begins at around 12.30 with Year 2. The choir performs at 1pm followed by Year 4 Mixed Ensemble, Year 6 Steel Pans, the Brass Band, Year 5 Steel pans. The programme will end with the Year 3 Samba Band, who will joined for a fantastic finale by the South London Samba Band at around 2.30pm.

    Southwark?s Mayor and a fire engine will also be coming.


    Don?t forget to bring along your completed raffle tickets. You can also buy tickets right up until 3pm. It?s not to be missed for the chance to win one of some 70 wonderful prizes - including an Amazon Tablet, a family season ticket to Dulwich Hamlet FC, and a Mulberry handbag.


    Everyone who is bringing food, cakes and sweets, please bring them along to the stalls as soon as possible in the morning. For those who are helping to set up, please arrive at 8.30am. Stall holders please come no later than 11am. A big thank you to you all!

  7. Hello! We are hosting a fun run in aid of our new sports pitch next Saturday 7th May, 2 - 4.30, at Dulwich park. It is ?5 entry for adults to run the 5k, and there are two shorter courses for kids (who can enter for free and donate sponsorship money). It would be great to see you there, and we would particularly love to see any parents whose children have places at the school from September:)
  8. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of fun and merriment at Dog Kennel Hill School's annual Summer Fair on Saturday 20 June from 12-4pm. There will be lots of great games and crafts, stalls, street and maypole dancing, delicious food and drink including a BBQ, Pimms, cake stall and our extremely popular International Cafe. We will have music from our talented steel pan musicians and choir, and fantastic raffle prizes donated by our very generous local businesses. The fair will end with our now famous Ping Pong Ball Race down Grove Hill Road. It's an event not to be missed!
