  1. Hi,

Hoping I can crowd-source some ideas... Looking to hold a baby shower for 15 people in the beginning of June, in East Dulwich or as near as... Ideally something incredibly budget-friendly, a space (or table with some space around it) indoors we could book that would be cheap or free, and would allow us at the very least to bring food and a few decorations. Anyone have any tips or tricks? Have looked into booking areas in pubs, but obv they aren't happy for us to bring food, and if they offer proper spaces, there are ?500 minimum spends... Bit crazy for 15 people on a Sunday afternoon, methinks!

Thanks so much for any help!

  2. Oooh, I'm very interested in this, too! Nuna, is the Monday class an actual pregnancy pilates class, or a regular pilates that works for pregnant ladies? I'm a Dulwich Fusion member, so would love it if I could do anything pregnancy-friendly through those gyms, but may be open to paying the extra to elsewhere soon...
  3. Phew, FINALLY the summer babies thread is up... Been keeping an eye out for it, like our group, KJ ;)...

I'm expecting our first on 17 July 2015, and already have been to a meet-up organised by the lovely KJ - highly recommend it!

Sadly I can't do the 21st, but I'm more than up for the next one! Relatively new to ED and would love to meet some mums in the neighbourhood, beyond the NCT people I'll likely meet.

  4. Hi,

Just went there before Xmas, and arrived at 8.20 or 8.25am... And we were 6th in the queue. Keep in mind there will be women who are more urgent/have appointments somehow, so add on a couple of places to your place in the queue! We were in for the scan at 10am, but it didn't feel too ridiculously long as A.) they only let you into the room at 9am, B.) my husband bought me some crisps! The scan was speedy but thorough, and the OB/GYN was lovely (German or Eastern European?) and knowledgable.

    Good luck and congratulations!

  5. I had a pet rat, and well as 2 rabbits over the course of my childhood... Can say that the rat was great; easy to litter train, train to do tricks... He was friendly and eager to please, and slept in a hammock made out of a handkerchief in his cage. Cons: they can be stinky, and - sorry - the male ones have pendulous tackle *ahem* that makes them a bit less 'cute' when they reach maturity. Rabbits: it's difficult, because it's quite personality-dependent. We had an amazing large rabbit (maybe a Chinchilla/Rex?), a mature male we adopted, and he was friendly, easy to train and loved snoozing with you and being held. Only con was that he engaged in the occasional arm/cushion hump. We had another, but a dwarf bunny, that my sister picked because she was 'sassy', and she was a biting, running-away, wire-chomping, litter-kicking nightmare. From my experience (and this is still pretty limited), males can be less aggressive, and the big ones can be calmer and quieter than the little ones, a bit like some dogs! I'd go for a rat to start out, perhaps!

    Good luck!

  6. Hi All,

Hoping I'm not too late to get in on this, as I'm pregnant for the first time, new(-ish) to ED and have an estimated due date of 17 July! Sounds like I'm right for this group, but don't want to interrupt/complicate any plans ;).

Congratulations to everyone (I guess some have had their 12-week scan quite recently?) and hope to be part of the group!
