  1. I have just moved and am looking for a local and available landscaper to complete around 2-3days work building a deck in the garden and a low rendered planted around the edge of the border. I have all the materials ready and waiting to go. Due to no shows and cancellations, need someone reliable who wants the work. Competitive price would be great and someone who can complete the work before August 5 would be ideal. Please get in touch/ leave recommendations if you know anyone! All help is appreciated. James

  4. Hello! My name is James. I'm a professional recorder player and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London (BMus Recorder). I'm offering recorder tuition, as well as Music theory lessons (ABRSM), with an initial free consultation lesson! As a performer I've worked with some of the world's leading early and contemporary musicians. I have over six years experience teaching a range of ages and levels, as well as a wide variety of repertoire - medieval, renaissance, baroque and contemporary music. I'm friendly and approachable, and enjoy building a rapport with students over time, bringing out a musical personality and performer from the individual and drawing on their strengths, enabling them to develop their musical potential. In theory, I teach to grade 5 standard ABRSM, enabling students to pass the exam and move onto the higher examinations (grade 6 and above). I also have experience in childcare with ofsted registration including recent dbs check and first aid. Please contact me bellow for rates and availability. Lessons are at my home in East Dulwich, or in certain cases I can visit you at home. Kind regards, James 07749156430 [email protected]

  8. Are you looking for a recorder teacher? Perhaps you're getting your child one for Christmas to introduce to them the world and language of music? My name is James Holden. I am a professional performer and teacher with over five years experience teaching children aged 5 to adults in a range of abilities. I am a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, and have been taught by and worked with some of the world's greatest classical musicians. I love to teach, and am now doing so from my home in East Dulwich, or locally in students' homes. I like to teach with a supportive, positive approach, and leave it up to the pupil and or their parents to decide whether they would like to do exams, or learn without them. I focus on developing a good sound, technique and knowledge of different repertoire and periods from medieval to present day compositions, fostering a respect for the recorder as a highly diverse and beautiful instrument from the outset. I also offer Theory of Music lessons - giving students an invaluable background and understanding of how music is constructed and written - grade 5 theory being a necessary ABRSM requirement before passing onto grade 6 exam of any instrument. If you are looking for a friendly, highly qualified and experienced local teacher, please do get in touch. Best wishes for Christmas and the new year! James 07749 156430 [email protected]

  11. Hello! My name is James. I am a professional recorder player, and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London. I have over five year's experience with both young children from age 6 to adults, and teach a wide variety of repertoire - medieval, renaissance, baroque and contemporary music. 12. Hello there, My name is James Holden. I am a professional recorder player and baroque flautist looking for private recorder and music theory (abrsm) students in London to begin before or after christmas, as well as being available for peripatetic positions in schools. Having graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a degree in Recorder, studying and performing with some of the world's greatest players, I aim to elevate the instrument's position within classical music, as so many people are still unaware of it's possibilities as a solo, chamber and orchestral instrument. I have over six years teaching experience, having taught private students from the age of 5 to middle age, beginners to advanced, as well as having taught at summer schools and held masterclasses in improvisation and baroque style. I believe in developing a solid level of technique, this forming the basis of lessons, and covering a wide variety of repertoire from medieval, through renaissance, baroque and to contemporary modern day compositions. Ultimately, music is for pleasure and I want each student to enjoy playing such a natural sounding, beautiful instrument. I teach from my home in East Dulwich, and have a flexible timetable currently. I am also if the students are local, able to come to the home of the student should that be of preference. Please enquire for rates, availability, or advice. I am happy to give it! Kind regards, James Holden 07749156430 [email protected]

  14. Cheap local plumber sought who is reliable and thorough who could remove our bath panel and adjust the temperature mixer of the water on our bath tap- it's currently at it's hottest temperature not hot enough. Many thanks in advance, James
  15. I went for an interview at the begging bowl to work there as I was in need of an extra weekend job to supplement my income temporarily following a move. The manager was rude and indifferent and gave me a very bad impression about the place - he seemed too big for his boots. I also went to eat in once but left realising the prices and that they offered no wholegrain options.
  16. I'm offering specialist recorder tuition as well as music theory lessons privately at mine or students home (if local). With five years experience teaching recorder to all ages and abilities, I specialise in a range of repertoire. It's important to give students a grounding in the history and technique of their instrument whilst maintaining an element of fun and spontaneity- inspiring a passion for the music. I have a degree from the Royal Academy of music and practise as a soloist and chamber musician. Do get in touch should you know of any children or adults looking to learn. James 07749156430 [email protected]
  17. Hello. We've just moved into a flat and have several jobs that will need doing most that require drilling and fixing things to walls - the first job being fixing up a bathroom cabinet and a bathroom mirror. In future will require someone to put up curtain poles. Does anyone have any suggestions of someone cheap, but careful in and around the home who will do a good job and preferably who is local? Kind regards, James
