  1. Hi everyone, I?ve just seen 2 people - don?t have a description, it?s dark and they had hoods up - climbing over our neighbours side garage, just at the end of Hillcourt road, where it meets Goodrich and donkey alley. They climbed over and down, making their way down Hillcourt road. It may be innocent, but certainly doesn?t look so. I?ve called the police to report. This is just a heads up to keep doors closed and windows locked.
  2. Hello, I?ve just walked along Peckham Rye park and saw a dog come down Barry road, run straight across the pedestrian crossing and into the park. He/she was running at high speed and has gone out of sight, although it is dark. I didn?t get a good look but from what I can tell: medium sized, short black hair and wearing a yellow reflective collar. I hope this is helpful!
  3. We found a fold up wheel chair in our garden / drive, on the corner of Hillcourt and Goodrich road, early this morning. It could very well be fly tipping, but a lot of people use our drive to pull into if the street is busy, and may have left it there by accident. Drop me a PM over the next few days if it belongs to you. I?ll drop it into the charity shop if I don?t hear anything.
  4. We?re on Hillcourt and have been down since around 10.30pm last night. Anyone else still down too?
  5. There's a brown bin on the footpath outside my house, which does not have a lid. I've asked the council to collect it a few months ago, but it didn't happen. When I previously reported it, it was full of random rubbish and had filled up with, presumably, rain water so it absolutely stank. I cleared all of the rubbish and water out of it, still not collected. It's now filled up again with rubbish. I presume it's because it's open and passers by use it as a dustbin. I contacted the council this week again, for the 5th or 6th time and there's still no response or advice on how to resolve. Any ideas?
  6. Can you post a pic? I live in this area and lots of our neighbours cats come into my garden to play with mine and stick around while. Hope he/she is home by now!
  7. I've recently started using Handy.com and have been really impressed so far. You can schedule a cleaner on repeat, eg: same day every week/fortnight. However, it's really easy to change the day if you give them 24 hours notice. Responsible prices and super flexible. I also like that you can add extras week on week, like cupboard interiors, deep clean of fridge. I have a referral code for ?10 off your first clean: [handy.com]

  10. We hired Dan for an end of tenancy clean based on the excellent reviews on here. I can't say I would recommend him to anyone for this type of job for the following reasons; 1. He took 5 days to send the receipt over, despite my daily calls and texts chasing - letting agents require the receipt to be emailed on the day of check out 2. There were a few things in the kitchen not cleaned to a professional standard and dust left behind radiators so after notifying Dan, he agreed to return to the property the following day. Unfortunately he did not show up and the agency had to hire another cleaning company, costing us ?70 3. He left a bag of rags and a beer can on the kitchen door. Thankfully I went to the flat the next day before the checkout clerk arrived and was able to remove it before inspection. 4. I sent him the checkout report, so he could see what the issues were and asked him to refund us for the money we lost due to him not going back to finish the job but he refused. For a domestic clean, I think he would be great. But, as the end of tenancy cleaning is really strict, his company have a lot to learn.
