  1. (You don't need to be a council tenant to apply - you just have to pay slightly more)
  2. Talk to Southwark council: we rent a garage from them and it's dry, secure, and cheap. You might have to wait a bit to get your best location, but they do seem to turn round reasonably quickly. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/housing/garages
  3. We went yesterday, and had a great time. Obviously, the the line up may or may not be to your taste, but for the purposes of this thread the crowd were very well behaved, the security was light touch, the medics were _great_ (chatting to everyone who seemed like they might be a bit of a mess, but without making it into a drama), the food was tasty and the stages were incredibly well run with shaded areas for people out there all day. Would definitely go again. I was worried after the negative feedback following the last Gala, but all the logistics seemed to have been ironed out. I completely take on board the concerns of the Friends of Peckham Rye Park, because if it had been wet the land would have been a mess. But we were lucky and it wasn't, so the Rye made a really lovely park setting with lots of shade for people to sit and just enjoy the day. Really hoping that today's event goes as smoothly. I'd been considering getting a ticket for both days, but decided that that would have been excessive.
  4. I did wonder what the impact of the Lost Peck Flood Alleviation and Environmental Improvement Scheme would be, and whether it was part of the delay: https://www.facebook.com/PandNcommunitycouncil/posts/2031214173866930
  5. I've found that whenever I go in there they can't do enough to be helpful. I asked for extra garlic on my pizza, and boy did they deliver. Such a shame they never seem to be that busy - although it comes in useful when everywhere else is queuing out of the door.
  6. I've been having intermittent problems with Virgin all weekend (SE15). Definitely worth getting in touch with them to pester: the local issue was marked as resolved and wasn't, but after I got in touch (and was told it was probably my kit and they could get an engineer out next week!) a new area wide issue was suddenly logged and fixed. Good luck.
  7. That'd be why she didn't reply to my PM about street art then :'( Really sorry to hear this: the outdoor gallery she created was something really special. I hope it will form a lasting legacy.
