Has anyone suffered with a musty smell coming from underneath the floorboards in a typical terrace house. It seems to have got much worse now the weather is a little warmer / dryer. Anybody had any success in getting rid of the smell? Thanks

I agree if you can't get your rubbish in the bin, take it home! But this is not helped by the increasing number of dog bins (and other bins) that have been removed over the last year or so. The council have a tendency to REMOVE bins which end up overflowing, rather than empty them!

I would also recommend Dave at Down the Drain - after this mornings visit where he has unblocked a blocked toilet.

we were getting joint credit cards. We got a call from the Issuer saying fraudulent activity had taken place on BOTH cards before we even new that they hadn't arrived. Used in the Orpington area in places such as Nando's and Sainsbury's. Would also like to know whether any REAL action is being taken.

First visit last night. Good starter, middle of the road calzone and hugely expensive drinks. (10.50 for a glass of Pinot Grigio + service charge). Starter, main course and a drink for 2 just over 60 quid. Expected more for this price. Unlikely to go back!

we recommended Alan this time last year. He did a great job on the front of the house - pointing looks amazing. However this August we have wasted two weekends and a days holiday when he came to patch up the back where some damp was getting in. He turned up without a ladder, and with the wrong ladder. This has meant the area which needed to get done has not been. So we have paid him for half a job and now need to look elsewhere. Nice guy, great work just poorly prepared sometimes.

I second this recommendation! I always find it difficult to know who to trust and whether they will actually deliver on their promises. First of all - the work is top notch! He did our pointing for a fixed price and looks fantastic, but in that time sorted out our flashing which was a mess, and painted our sills. Really nice guy!! Thanks Alan!
