  3. Harriet Harman is stepping down after 38 years as the MP for Camberwell & Peckham. Labour Party members who live in the constituency can vote on deciding who our next MP will be. I am supporting Miatta! Hoping local members will vote for her at Hustings on Sat 19th November or by a Postal Vote. You may have seen Miatta on Question Time and Politics Live. She has worked for Labour forming policy, and she's now the CEO of the New Economic Foundation. Check out her campaign video on the website https://miattafahnbulleh.org or YouTube
  4. I would also like to recommend Andy's services. He helped repair my son's bed, and put up two large pictures. Tasks that we would never have managed!! All covid safe and done in good time at a competitive price. He's a nice guy and gets on with the job. Lives locally in Gypsy Hill. Tidied up - asked for the hoover and took unwanted packaging with him. We will now ask Andy for a price to paint the front of the house when the weather gets better. Call Andy on 07564 194363
  5. I took my ancient bike to be repaired and have a service. Squarebike (beside Peckham Rye station) helped resuscitate it and bring it back to life! Completed overhaul quickly, despite long queues everywhere else, at a competitive price. Would recommend and vouch for their services. 7, Peckham Rye Station, Station way, London SE15 4RX 07999 029413
  6. Just had a family meal at 500 Degrees. Fabulous service, attentive and friendly staff, but most of all a great selection of starters, including my favourite Burrata and loads of Pizza choices cooked in front of you in a big wooden fire. My teen and 8 year old gobbled up what was in front of them and better still, they serve Morretti on draught! Would recommend locals try out this new place. You won't be disappointed!! Give it a try this weekend - 41 Lordship Ln, East Dulwich, London SE22 8EW
  7. Just had our new bathroom fitted and installed by Tuga Build - really happy with the results, and happy to recommend their services. The job included:tiling, flooring, LED lighting, Shower enclosure/tray, concealed valves, shower head, toilet and sink. They also removed a chimney breast from a bedroom. Quick, clean, prompt and thorough service, that was finished on time within the agreed, competitive budget. Call Artur Martins on 0798 063 0726 [email protected] www.tugabuild.com
  8. Fed up with paying over the odds for a haircut? Took myself and my sons for a half-term haircut at GK Barbers. Was really impressed with the level of service and outcome, so I promised to make a recommendation on EDF. Ahmed is a great guy and has a new colleague who recently started. Always puts boys at ease and follows suggestions and gets on with job. ?12 Men and ?10 for kids - absolute bargain when you compare to local barbers in SE22. Open 7 days a week. http://gkbarbers.co.uk GK Barbers, 7 Melbourne Grove, East Dulwich, SE22 8RG Tel 07956 608324
  9. Like Frank Field and other MPs sitting as Independents?
  10. With the European Elections happening on Thursday, and Brexit negotiations at a total stalemate between the Tories and Labour, it's never been more important to push for a "People's Vote. For Remain" Supporting the new Change UK party https://voteforchange.uk/ If anyone would like to help with the campaign locally next week please PM me. Many thanks, Michael (Ondine Road)

  16. As Sunday mornings are jam packed for many families, with sports commitments and so on, we are exploring whether there's enough interest from local parents to organise a monthly child friendly service (45 minutes long) at the Copleston Church from 4 or 4.30pm. Rev Paul has discussed the idea with the church elders, who are keen to explore the level of interest from parents and local people. Please PM me if this plan sounds of interest. Thanks Michael
