Hi I am looking for a cleaner / housekeeper to help out 3 days a week for a few hours at a time - cleaning, laundry, prepping veg etc for meals, unpacking shopping and so on. Does anyone have someone they can recommend? Thanks.

I'm looking for a rough guide to how much it should cost to get windows cleaned. We've got a standard ED terrace but with a lot of glass on our side return roof and big sliding doors at the back. We'd need someone with their own ladder as I'm assuming they'll need to climb on the roof to get to the upstairs windows. Does anyone have any recommendations of people they've used that are good for something similar and how much it is? Thank you!

Thanks everyone! -
Has anyone seen anywhere in East Dulwich or Peckham today that is still selling real Christmas trees? Just went to the EDT and they aren't there anymore! Thanks.

Wedding dress cleaning advice - Scobies Dulwich Village?
sdas111 replied to sdas111's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hi swquiz, I still haven't done it! Like you said, I'm anxious about who to trust with it so don't really want to go ahead without any recommendations from others... If I get any recommendations I'll let you know. -
We have recently completed our side return extension and in doing so, lowered the floor level in the kitchen. In order to do this, we had to underpin the existing party wall because it wasn't deep enough. When looking at buildings insurance, the relevant question appears to be generic - along the lines of "has your property ever been underpinned?" Now that the answer to this is yes, I'm struggling to get quotes. Has anyone else had this issue and where were you able to find insurance? Did it make a difference (or should it make a difference) that the underpinning was due to the extension rather then subsidence, for example? I'd be grateful for any advice anyone has.

We used Smile Moves as well and would definitely recommend - they arrived early, they were efficient and they took great care of everything - we won't hesitate to use them again. http://www.smilemoves.uk.com/ -

Another recommendation for Smile Moves - we didn't use their packing service but their removals service was top notch - they took really good care of our stuff and were really nice guys. http://www.smilemoves.uk.com/ -
Hello We are looking to get our carpets replaced with wooden floors - does anyone have any recommendations for wooden floor suppliers and local fitters? Thanks
