  1. I would like to recommend our tutor Betsy Rowlands; who, in a short space of time, has imbued both my 6 year old son and myself with a more confident, holistic approach to learning. I liked her instantly because she genuinely cared about my child and my desire for him to reach his own potential (work in progress). Betsy went beyond the call of duty on several occasions, spending time talking to me and allaying my concerns in her own free time. Her methods are considered and effective and I saw my child?s demeanour change instantly when he sat with her; his handwriting and posture both improved. I truly believe he has become a more confident learner since he has been with her. I find dividing my time between my children in the evening, at times, quite stressful. Betsy has alleviated some of that stress and I have seen a marked improvement in my son?s reading. Betsy?s number is tel: ‭07738 545030‬
  2. I lost my small black purse today in Dulwich Village near Jigsaw. If anyone has found it I would love to get it back. I've cancelled the cards although my driving licence was inside and a necklace that I would be very sad not to see again. Any leads would be very much appreciated. Many thanks
  3. Hello! I wondered if anyone had spotted my watch over the weekend near or in the park? Would be great to hear from you if you did. Many thanks in advance!
  4. Hello, We moved to East Dulwich last year and we are very happy. We are in the process of applying for a school place for our son and wondered if people with the children at either school could shed some light on how they feel about them; how happy their children are/standards of teaching etc.? Would be very helpful to hear from parents who had chosen between these two school specifically. Goodrich looks like a very creative school with beautiful art work adorning the walls which is a real draw for us but we are still very open minded about either. Any opinions or advice would be gratefully received. Look forward to hearing from you.
  5. Hello, Thank you for opening and reading this message. I am on a very tight dead line to find a person for a film that I am working on. We are looking for someone with a great story in East Dulwich or London, the story needs to have a crucial moment or event, where a life changing decision was taken, a moment that changed everything, an epiphany! Something emotive and awe inspiring would be great! If you are that person or you know anyone who has that story I would love to hear from you. The person we choose would of course be paid. Please PM me with anything you have and with any questions, Best wishes and thank you in advance! Izzy

  7. Thank you for opening this message! I am on a very short time line and I need to find someone to star in a 2-3 minute film that will be broadcast on the internet. We are looking for someone who has experienced a significant event in their life that has turned everything around for them, an epiphany. They need to be a real person with a great story. The film needs to demonstrate how a small moment in someone?s life can spark a huge change. If you know anyone who has a story that fits the bill and would be happy being filmed at the beginning of February, I would love to hear from you. They will of course be paid well. Send me your stories and questions. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Many thanks in advance, Isobel
  8. Hi Helena, I just wondered which nursery you finally decided on? Did you get any good feedback from other parents? We've gone for Blossom's but I was also considering Dulwich Montessori. It was distance from our home that made up my mind in the end. Would be interested to hear from you, so far we are very happy with Blossoms Thank you.
  9. Hello, We recently moved to East Dulwich and got the builder, who did some renovations for us, to get some new doors for us as well. In the mayhem of moving etc we said yes to the doors but now regret our decision. They are thin and feel like cardboard. Aesthetically they aren't too bad but when I go to open them they feel a bit rubbish (not very eloquent but..) . Anyway, we still have the doors the builders removed in haste and I think they could be saved so I wondered if anyone could recommend a good carpenter (door person) to come and have a look at them or help us find better quality alternatives. Thank you so much in advance.
  10. Thank you so much for all of your advice everyone. I really appreciate it. We've gone for Blossom's and feel very excited about it.
  11. Hello, I just wondered if anyone has sent their child to Dulwich Montessori on College Road and how they've found it? The outdoor area is quite small, does that matter? We have recently moved to East Dulwich and found it hard to find somewhere that has spaces. We don't want full day care, just a few hours for my son to play and make some friends (he's 2). Another potential option is Blossom's Montessori, which is 9am-4pm. Any feedback on either or both would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
