  1. Another one for Hussein and his team. They did our entire one bedroom flat. Very good communication with quote provided quickly and work started a few days later. They finished on time with very good results and left everything tidy. I would definitely contact them again for other projects.
  2. Of course I don't want the nursery to close, and not because I would need them when I am back to work. My point is simple. If the Government is paying for 80% of the employees' salaries, VAT payments are deferred, mortgages can be temporarily paused, can we have more transparency on why differently for most of the nurseries they still need to charge us this much while closed with little or no running costs? Just to clarify I was more than happy to pay full fees when no help from the Government was made available in order for the staff to be paid and retained.
  3. Thanks for the feedback picmic! EDG nursery has comeback saying they can instead charge people 55% instead of 60%, not a big change at all.
  4. In this link under Funds you'll find the support the nurseries will get: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-early-years-and-childcare-closures/coronavirus-covid-19-early-years-and-childcare-closures It might not get them to cover 100% of the cost, but surely more than 60%, which is what we are being expected to pay.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. Our nursery charging 60% is EDG (ex. Le Nid). Dulwichgirl, EDG, is it the same nursery?
  6. Thanks, still relevant feedback. I heard most of the local nurseries are charging from 0% to 20% fees, so I am keen to hear about it.
  7. Hi CTOVEY, Thanks for your feedback. Would you mind me asking what nursery is that your niece goes to?
  8. Hello, Just keen to understand what nurseries are doing these days in terms of fees while they're closed. Our nursery is closed for key workers' children too and is asking for 60% of the fees, although committing to pay staff full pay. I'd like to understand what all the rest of the nurseries are doing, please.
  9. The one in Tintagel Crescent is still around too.
  10. There is one parked in the same place in Tintagel Crescent for over 3 months. Contact has been made with the police, but they said none has reported the vehicle as stolen. This car hasn't mover for months, and the licence inside seems to be expired.
  11. I see Dr Tay at Covent Garden Dental Practice. Really recommended.
  12. Just Williams Toy Shop in Lordship Lane. I think is 80p per baloon. They filled up some balloons for me last week.
  13. I'd like to add one more recommendation for Vitek and Peter (VP removals). They moved our stuff last month, including beds, sofas, tables and so on. Not only they were really professional, but very pleasant and hard-working chaps. Really recommend them!
  14. Hello, we've just been offered a space at Bright Horizon nursery in ED for my daughter who will be 8 months old by the time she is supposed to start. I wanted to check if any of the parents here with babies attending the nursery have any feedback they would like to share. I find the outside and inside space a bit too small, but the nursery is conveniently located for us and everywhere else seems to be full. I wouldn't want to miss this option, but I wouldn't want to rush a decision either. Tia!
