Really happy to recommend Kevin again (see my other post from Sept 2014 about builder recommendations) - he's come up trumps again, this time transforming my loft with a lovely painting & decorating job. I've attached a pic of how it looks now. Lovely clean lines and flawless paint job. I will try and attach a 'before' photo as well so you can see the transformation. The job involved stripping wallpaper (walls and ceiling), preparing surfaces for paint, priming and finishing paintwork. He and his assistant, the very fine Titus, also repaired tiling in the ensuite bathroom, at no further cost. Very reasonably priced, completed efficiently, tidily and without fuss. Kevin is always prepared to go the extra mile to get the job done. Very happy to recommend.

Aaron recently completely re-plastered my 1930's living/dining through room including arch, two chimney breasts (one rendered compatible with open fires), walls and ceiling. He completed the work to a high finish and is a fast worker, thorough and hard-working. I cannot recommend him highly enough and would use him again without hesitation. Manda

Hi, I would like to recommend Kevin from Y & J Builders, he recently completed a complex refurbishment in my 1930s house, including the following: - Total refurbishment of living/dining room area, including removal of fireplaces, complete re-plastering and decorating throughout, new tiling in fireplaces, restoration of parquet flooring (including sanding and varnishing) and electrical re-wiring. - Restoration of front porch area, including removal of uPVC outer door and re-tiling floor area. - New toilet fitted to old 1930's pipework; new tiling to floor; re-decorating and new skirtings. - Impromptu roof repairs to fix damp problem caused by leak from valley roof. - Additional bits such as replacing floorboards, removing stair carpet, repairs to plumbing in water cistern. He uses excellent skilled tradesmen and is a hard worker, going over and above the original remit to achieve maximum results at a reasonable price. He was present throughout the works and was committed to seeing the job done to the original specifications. No problem that came up was too much for him and he addressed the solutions willingly and without complaint. He recently completed a total refurbishment of my living/dining room, porch area & upstairs toilet, as well as some plumbing and roofing repairs.
