  1. Looking at filling all our secondary school "preferences" and was wondering if anyone has any experience of this school? Thanks a million.
  2. Hi, is this your cat? On Mount Adon Park just now. Looks a bit lost.
  3. Agree also with Flizz. What could be really popular would be a family friendly restaurant/pub with a great outside playing space. Just a small climbing frame & a couple of swings would do it. Since the Herne removed it's playground there isn't really anywhere within walking distance where the kids can play outside while you eat. Yes, the site doesn't look very appealing as it is, but a refurb would go along way. It's on the south circular FFS (wasteland???), if it had decent food & a nice garden people will incorporate a stop there on their journey through, not to mention plenty of mums & dads with very young children meeting for lunch/coffee in the week. Also just a hop on numerous busses from LL.
  4. Thanks, their systems are down at the moment, IT issues!! Also since the original post you have to speak to the automated system, they don't recognise the request so you have to hang on for the adviser.
  5. Hi, We don't qualify for child benefit. Does anyone know how I get hold of a letter to prove exemption as evidence to present to the school as proof of address? Thanks
  6. I second Bunker 51 in Greenwich. We got the overland from Forest Hill to Canada Water, tube to North Greenwich and walked along the route by the Thames. It's right next to the Thames Barrier. Or of course you can drive. My daughter did the Laser tag package party. They all loved it.
  7. Hi, I was wondering where kids got offered places who live on the south side of Lordship Lane, nr the top end of Upland Rd? Is this too far for Charter 2? Did girls get into Sydenham School? Harris Girls? If not, how far down the waiting list are you? My DD is a year off, but obs need to know if we are in black hole. Many thanks
  8. Hi, I saw a very similar looking cat down the bottom end of Court Lane last week. It was on the path on the right nr Defansans Rd, my daughter stroked it and it went into one of the front gardens. Might be worth knocking on a couple of doors? Good Luck
  9. Hi there, We could end up in a situation in September whereby our two children end up at different primary schools a mile apart. I was wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat and what you do when pick ups and drop offs are at the same time? We will be using breakfast and after school clubs, however I would prefer not to have to this everyday. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the explanation. However, I am confused as reading Heber's Ofsted report, it appears one of the main reasons for Heber being downgraded to "needs improving" was that that the children weren't making enough progress given their initial starting point?
  11. Hi Carrie, There is a Xmas fair at Dulwich Village Infants (Lake Building) on Sat 16th December and the Santa's grotto is always impressive. ?3 and you get a toy!
