Whole house needs renovating. Central heating installed. New kitchen, bathroom(s). Garden overhauled. And just look what is next door. Complete madness.

You visited the restaurant once - once - and based on that single experience, a full five years ago, you wouldn't return? Wow.

Actually quite similar in some respects. Plenty of coffee shops/delis/media types/prams. Quite pretty. Community feel. I miss the parks, Brickhouse, Palmerston, EDT, cinema and annual art extravaganza, though.

  8. ?1,000,000 for a 67-square-metre bungalow, though? Wow.
  9. What's the score here? Does it come with an acre of land or something? https://www.foxtons.co.uk/property-for-sale-in-east-dulwich/chpk2154081
  10. Absolutely none of my business, but seems weird that Foxy and Sue are basically neighbours yet still bicker on public forums. Oh well. Happy new year to you both!
  11. "All with a very familiar formular" As opposed to Tandoori Nights, Jaflong, Surma, Dulwich Tandoori, Curry Cabin, Mirash, Swadesh, you mean, DF? Right.
  12. The location of the till didn't do them any favours. Always thought it strange walking past and seeing a pair of bejeaned buttocks facing the street, rather than an array of tasty-looking produce.
  13. Embarrssing. Not sure what's worse, the guff written about the Brick House buns or this drivel. It's just insane!

    How much !

Christ, reading this trash is enough to make me want to throw a seven. We have reached peak EDF. I'm off to kill myself.

Peckham: younger demographic, tend to go out more during the week, party hard, live for the moment ED: older demographic, prefer to stay in with the kids, watch telly, go to bed
  16. Retro/ironic signage... bang on trend for the hipster kidz. Possibly not for the likes of Fox or indeed me.

I only ask as one of the screens at the Clapham Picturehouse is diabolical - I went to see No Country For Old Men there and spent two hours staring at the pus in someone's neck boil. Contrast that to Screen One at the Barbican, the Odeon on Haymarket or the IMAX at Waterloo, all of which have sufficient rake to give those in the back row vertigo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rake_%28theatre%29
  18. Anyone know what the rake is like? Nothing more infuriating than a piddly, gentle slope...

    Blow in's

You're overcomplicating things. As I've stated on a previous thread, the definition in EDF terms is really very simple. It's basically anyone who's had the cheek to do something with their lives. Someone who's moved around a bit, experienced stuff and gained a bit of an outlook. Lived a little, in a nutshell. In a bigger nutshell, anyone who wasn't born in either London SE15 or SE22.
  20. Hoopoedi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What or who exactly constitutes a "blow in"? Or > is this a subject for another thread? I'm > curious... Basically anyone who wasn't born in the postcode where they now live. People who've had the temerity to do something with their lives, move around a bit, experience stuff, gain a bit of outlook. They're MASSIVELY annoying.
  21. Everyone on this entire thread, nay forum, - including me - is stark raving mad.
